Update: July 16, 2014 (Original purchase in October 2013)I've been using this phone case (Gold version) for about 9 months now and overall, I am still happy with it. Does it still look brand new? No. The back is scratched and some of the corners of the gold paint have rubbed off, revealing the white plastic underneath. But it still protects my phone just fine. I'll probably be replacing this case in the coming weeks and I'm not sure if I'll repurchase this one but I will check out the other Spigen phone cases.And I'll insert my opinion on the scratches: scratches are going to happen and I would prefer the case to be scratched over the phone any day. Aside from that, I think the lighter color cases don't look so bad when they scratch compared to the dark cases. I didn't see significant scratches for weeks going on months on my gold case.Original review: (Feb 2014)I've always hated that when buying a phone case, your options were either tough, durable, bulky, plain looking or light, pretty, easily broken, slim, weak protection.That's where this phone case comes in.I love my gold iPhone 5s. Its beautiful, light, and it contains so much of my life. I struggled with deciding whether to let it's beauty shine or protect it and make it last for the next 2 years. Decisions, decisions.Unfortunately, I'm not independently wealthy so I do need to make my phone last. I had to give in and buy a plain ol' ugly, bulky case. In my search through Amazon I stumbled on a brand I had never heard of before - Spigen. And don't ya know it, they have a GOLD case that's not the size of a brick. It seemed too good to be true.Could this really protect my phone? Honestly?!Well its been almost 5 months, and yes it has protected my phone. As I take my phone out of the case just a few minutes ago, I see no cosmetic flaw on my phone whatsoever. Has it been dropped? Of course it has. Not from 3 stories or anything but it has hit carpet, tile, and concrete floor more than I'd like to admit. So it IS possible to have a rather slim case be protective too.How is the condition of the case you ask? Surprisingly, really good. The only wear i see is on the back gold sections. Little light scratches but nothing major or unusual. The case still hugs my phone tightly, in its protective little arms (metaphorically speaking, of course). I don't forsee having to replace it anytime soon so it has been worth the small investment easily.I will say that my last phone case for my previous Iphone was a speck. While that was decent, it doesn't compare at all in terms on protection or longevity!I would recommend this product and I'll likely buy one for my future iPhone purchases as well!

I'm very picky when it comes to phone cases, and I generally opt for Spigen's minimalist models. In fact, this is the most "robust" phone case I've ever used, but I have to tell you, I am much impressed. In fact, I dig this thing, totally.I use my phone when I cycle, and this case is what I should have always been using. It offers very nice protection, but it's not ridiculously HUGE. And the other big thing is the built in "buttons". The tactile quality of these make it easy for me to adjust volume while the phone is riding along in my jersey pocket. And while I thought the size would bother me, I find it to be just fine. It does make the phone "bulkier", but if I'm in an office environment or wearing business attire and I want it to be a little sleeker (which is rare), it's quick to remove. I like that, because there are times when it's nice to admire the phone for the nice design and finish, and perhaps I'm in a professional environment where a more subtle appearance and size is preferable. It's too risky to leave a case off for me (hiking, running, cycling, grandkids) so I'm finding this case is the best for my needs; I used to select something that was a compromise when it came to true protection (other than scratches and mild nocking around). Again, I have to say, the size doesn't bother me because it's so well designed; the edges are just right, the finish is grippy where it should be, smooth the same. I've ribbed my friends for years about their gigantic Otter Box cases, and this little dumplin' catches there attention like right now!I did have to shave the rubber from around the jack on my Shure headphones so they would fit, but it didn't harm them a bit, and it allows me to use this case! Just not a big deal to me; no compromise at all. Couple of minutes with a sharp blade, and it was done.I have the black Iphone 5, and I bought the white/black model of this, and it gets a LOT of comments. The finish seems quite durable and so far shows no signs of wear after about 2 months of daily use.I've always been very impressed with Spigen's products, but I have to say, this is my favorite one. So far, anyhow.

Exactly what I was looking for. A good fit to my iPhone SE-1. I’m purchasing this for the second one after 6 Years. Worth every penny

I’ve been using first copies of Spigen covers for the last 4 years bought from local shops and they sure have protected my iPhone a great number of times, so when this original cover was available at a steal deal I did not think twice.The build quality is superb, you cannot match Spigen in terms of that, it looks sturdy and durable and will last a couple of years before needing replacement.10/10 would recommend.

The comments here are for using this case on an iphone 5. Not a 5s or 5c. The case is super easy to fit. Just push the bottom two corners in and then press the rest of the phone in. Takes a few seconds. All the controls are easily accessable, and the speakers and 3.5mm earphone jack port are not covered or blocked at all. The case has its own volume bottons that cover the existing buttons and pushes those. Same goes with the power/lock btton. All work flawlessly with immediate response and no having to push twice or push really hard. The case is very well made from hard rubber and carbon and feels very tough and strong. The case is quite thick so would likely keep the phone secure if dropped. There is also a lip or rim around the top edge surrounding the screen. So again, if dropped on the screen side, the rim would take the hit, not the screen. This is a really very well build, secure and great looking case. I'll finish by saying the case feels like it is part of the phone. Really great value too.

2°achat pour iPhone 5 pour un ado, après un 1° achat pour mon iPhone 5s. Associé à la protection d’écran Spigen (très facile à positionner et invisible), l’iPhone devient invulnérable. Cette coque n’a rien à voir avec les grosses coques de chantier, et l'iPhone reste mince et tient dans la poche. Design particulièrement étudié et classe. La coque ne bouge pas d’un quart de millimètre après sa mise en place, très facile. La fenêtre arrière qui montre la pomme est du plus bel effet, mais est à recouvrir de l’intérieur si on veut éviter quelque reflet parasite pour une photo prise derrière une vitre.Les boutons qui protègent le volume et le on/off sont exceptionnellement bien conçus et efficaces. Les arrêtes de bordure paraissent un peu aiguës au début, mais on s’y fait très vite, et participent à la bonne préhension. Celle-ci est exceptionnelle, car non seulement l'iPhone est super protégé des chutes, mais celles-ci sont vraiment minimisées par le revêtement à la fois costaud, lisse mais accrocheur. Du coup, si on pose l'iPhone sur la main sans le serrer, il ne commence à glisser qu’à partir d’un angle de 45°. Attention, ceci est vrai avec la finition TA black. Avec les autres finitions colorées, le revêtement n’est plus ce doux caoutchouc mais devient beaucoup plus lisse, et l’iPhone glisse beaucoup plus facilement. Ce qui m’a amené à retourner une coque de ce style.Donc je recommande chaudement, mais en TA black.
