I bought 3 of these a few days ago. 2 to place behind my Martin Logan Aerius i electrostatic speakers, to show their lighting effects, reacting to sound. The third for my nephews, whom are homeschooling, so I'm looking to dazzle them with the science behind the plasma. As you can see from my pic, they display clearly through the translucent membrane.

I had one of these things when I was little. Got my young son one for Christmas and he loves it. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is because the one he opened for Christmas didn't work and I had to get a replacement.

Got this for my son for Christmas. He’s been wanting one for a while. It’s the perfect size. He keeps it in the window. Lightweight and looks really nice at night. Easy to set up and really good quality. It’s such a simple thing but kept us entertained and gave us a nice little Segway into the topic of science and what causes the electrical currents. He was super happy!

Bought as a Christmas gift & my niece loved it.
