The McGraw-Hill 36-Hour Course: Project Management, Second Edition (McGraw-Hill 36-Hour Courses)

I love project management but this book is really poorly written and boring. It feels like like you are reading the same information over and over again. Quizes on the back of each chapter are useless and not not asking anything really important about project management.

This was a good course on the high level knowledge base needed for project management. I don't think it was the authors intention to give the reader a course study of the PMPBOK guide. It definitely does not give you in any detail the necessary information to prepare you for the PMP test. However, the examples and easy to read and understand writing gives you an excellent look at the world of project management.

In today's modern environment, considering so many custom made and open source tools for managing projects, I could not find a decent scenario for managing a web project. Maybe not a dissertation, but at least overall pointers. It does the job in a more abstract way. It is a bit short on certain aspects and too crammed on others, but it does say : " 36 - Hour Course ". Overall McGraw-Hill is a reputable resource for education material that I personally prefer over others, in many cases.

Great for those starting out in PM. This was used as a text book for course taken at DePaul. Provides good foundation without being overwhelming. Good primer before tackling PMBOK.

Nice book top review topics in project management in a basic level. I was expecting a little bit more in numbers or porcentage to judge or use as a criteria con assess a project.

Project management tends to complex. This book brings project management in plan english to the person who is just getting started in the arena.

These 24-hour Books are so easy to follow. They are very descriptive and create a feel of simplicity to learning new things. Highly suggest these products for those trying to branch out of their normal reading routine and learning something new.

Good refresher and some great simple practical examples.
