This add on tee has a flared fitting on the end that connects to the water valve, adding tape to a flared fitting will cause leaks. The product picture shows this flare. Previous reviewers that mentioned leaks also mentioned using tape. Unfortunately they rated a product low when they are the cause for the problem. This tee was very difficult for me to find locally due to supply chain issues so I was glad to see it here on Amazon. Appears to be a quality product and the threads went on nice and smooth. Just snug it down no need to over tighten and it won’t leak. If by chance you have a small leak just nudge it tight a bit more. Overall a great product.

Installed quickly. Has compression fitting instead of a gasket (that will go hard and leak).Don't over fitted- the old one we cracked the nut.

Well constructed, easy to install, no leaks, fits perfectly! It was just what I needed to split the cold water line to feed a filter that feeds a drinking water faucet at the kitchen sink. The threads were perfect and I had no leaks. I used teflon plumbers tape on all my connections.

This product solved a problem I had with connecting a bidet attachment to a toilet. I had returned one version of the attachment because the customer service couldn't help me. Another manufacturer suggested this connection and it worked beautifully. I have modern toilets and needed to connect at the water outlet and not at the connection to the tank.

Worked perfectly, and much cheaper than Home Depot for the same part. If you're worried because the picture looks like its 3/8 x 3/8 x 1/4" , don't be it is 3/8 x 3/8 x 3/8"

Fast shipping and product was as described. For those that don't know - this is a handy fitting that fits little water shutoff for the waterlines under your sink or behind your toilet. At your kitchen sink you can use it on the hot water side to tee off to your dishwasher. For one I purchased I plan to use it on the water supply valve behind a toilet that I'm adding one of those add-on bidets. The bidet came with a tee, but plastic. This one is way better & it being brass will help me sleep better at night.. ;^)

Works great - you just have to really tighten the female connection because there is no gasket, it's brass to brass

This is working great for my hot water dispenser to share the cold water supply with my kitchen sink faucet. During the installation I knocked some junk out of the hose to the kitchen faucet and it clogged the backflow valve, which crippled the flow of the faucet. At first I thought the flow issue was caused by this part, but it was not. Actually this part has a generously sized inside diameter to allow unrestricted flow, which is great!

No leaks, does what it’s suppose to, used it to hook up a dishwasher.

Ordered two and they leaked. I suspect it was because of lack of an o ring. Tried a different kind that was actually cheaper but had an o ring and it didn’t leak. These were more expensive and didn’t work as well. Used as a T to attach a bidet for a skirted toilet.
