Great float to keep your fountain afloat :)
These are sooo much better than the plastic floats. I purchased the plastic float and it broke, so I got another, it leaked. This one slid right into the same location and didn't have any issues. The fact it is brass means it'll last a lot longer as well. Good product, highly recommended.

Doesn't Shut Off Properly
Takes a lot of upward force on the float to shut off the water. It pretty much has to be fully submerged to completely stop the flow of water. Wouldn't work for my dogs water bowl because it spills over before it's even close to shutting off, and I had the float adjusted as far down as possible.

It is the right size and hoping it works better than the plastic valves
The filler on our pool failed after several years of steady work. It was a brass valve. It was replaced with one made of plastic that didn't last very long. We had a serious water leak and thought it was coming from the plastic valve. It wasn't. There was a damaged irrigation pipe that caused the problem. Before starting the filler up again I asked the pool man about a brass valve - he told me they only carry the plastic ones now. He offered to install it for me if I bought one on Amazon. Amazon used to carry several but only had one in the right size. It will be installed next week.

Autofill does not close completely
Bought 3, they all leak water out of the autofill. The float does not close the autofill completely regardless of position of the float. Will be ordering a more expensive model next.

works for animals
Got this to create an automatic watering mechanism for ducks. Seems to work for the purposes, not sure about it's longevity, especially in my case leaving it outdoors. Will update as time goes on.

Simple and Works!
Exactly what I needed to fill livestock watering tanks. All brass means it should last quite a while!!Recommended
