Energetic
This graphic history (comic-book style) is sure to please your child. It tells the story of Bell's experimentations with sending sounds over electrical wires, which led to the invention of the telephone. Outstanding explanation of the steps in scientific discoveries and the painstaking methodology -- this book SHOWS rather than TELLS.Most remarkably, Bell used his fortune to advance the cause of teaching the deaf. The philanthropy of American capitalists is boundless. Great, great book.
