BUGGY. you cannot use the car BT and perfrom a BT switch (i.e connect car BT to the panel BT), hence you have to use AUX for everything, hence the audio is poor compared to BT.Sometimes, it just will not switch to the AUX input (say for android auto music, say spotify)Even if I press the MODE button in the car to switch to AUX, the headset says its playing say Spotify music, but no sound. I have to reset the head (menu, then 4 to reset the panel), then it playsThe firmware is buggy, the audio does not always start over Android Auto via audio BT to the panel.I contacted support, over the gmail they send, then they stopped answering questions.even a repalcment panel did the same thing, hence know its firmware.i'm going to rip this out, and use a new OEM screen, and the seperate 'Road Top Wireless Carplay Wireless Android Auto' as it better integrates with the car

This touchscreen upgrade is a solid retrofit if you’ve got a BMW with the older CCC system. The 8.8-inch screen fits great in my E60 and gives the whole dash a much more modern feel. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work seamlessly, connects fast and has been super stable with no annoying dropouts.The screen itself is bright, responsive, and easy to navigate, making it a huge step up from the factory system. Install was pretty straightforward if you’re comfortable with basic wiring, and it integrates nicely with the existing iDrive controls.So far, it’s been working perfectly and really modernizes the driving experience without losing the BMW factory look. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to bring your older 5 or 3 Series into the modern era with wireless functionality and a sharp display.

The media could not be loaded. Screen is responsive, feel is nice and quality is decent. No mic included, and no instructions provided at all. Had to find a YouTube video of a similar product to figure out installation. The provided cables are extremely short and make installation rough. However I was able to get it working. Additionally there was no port to reconnect the factory Idrive to this unit. This screen isn’t actually a radio, it’s just a CarPlay device with that passes audio to your OEM radio through an aux port. For the price it’s decent but I wouldn’t recommend it since you sacrifice your Idrive and install is rough.

Don’t recommend, It came only with the head unit and no wiring harness or any cables just the screen itself

I have been wanting a touch screen Wireless carplay for my BMW for a while and after looking over the makes and models and years that this would be compatible with we determined that this would be a perfect fit for my bmw! We also looked over the measurements just to double check and everything lined up nicely. This came very well packed and secured with no damage from delivery. My husband owns a car lot / mechanic shop so he is super familiar with installing these and was able to get it easily installed in no time. He said it was very straightforward if you are familiar with swapping out radios Etc he did not run into any issues and everything wired in and set up perfectly. If you are not familiar with installing something like this I would definitely recommend taking it to your trusted mechanic to do it for you. Once everything is wired in and set up it definitely functions as it should. The sound quality is excellent and there is no crackling or Distortion in the speakers whatsoever. I can easily connect my phone and get it set up for calls music etc. Super nice to be able to listen to whatever I want hands-free from my phone. This is a total game changer for me! The GPS works great on it and the touch screen works perfectly as well with no lagging. Super impressed with the quality and craftsmanship and if you're thinking about it I would definitely recommend getting it! This is a great deal and a solid 10 out of 10 great quality product
