My daughter had a couple of these fans and I was amazed at how powerful they are. The effects could still be felt at least six feet away. I actually bought it for my bedside table but found it really didn't need to be that close. It's now on a chest of draws about four feet away and cools me down just fine. Personally, I wouldn't use it on my desk (which is not huge) as I think it might be a little too powerful. Although I understand it is recommended for cooling laptops I don't need it for this so I can't say how well that feature works. However, it works well on mains power with a USB adaptor. This fan is quite versatile as it's small enough to place on most surfaces and light enough to move around where needed. As the fan can be angled up or down, it works equally well from the floor or from a shelf. The only thing I found a little annoying was that the lead is rather short, about 140 cm. Is it noisy? Well I can hear it when it starts up but it isn't noisy enough to bother me - a low frequency hum which I don't notice after a while and it hasn't yet kept me awake at night. Typically, a week after I bought this fan the weather turned cooler and I haven't needed it recently. Not having used it for long, I can't say how robust it is but, on the face of it, it seems quite good value for money and I am pleased with it so far.

Works quite well and gives nice air flow. However it's not great for bedroom as it's relatively loud. Good enough for office or living room. Would still buy it though

I waited for 18 days up until now until submitting a review and indeed must give it 5 stars.I use it mainly with my charging plug from my Tablet as a few nights I have left it on.I positioned it about 10 feet away from the bed and on slowest setting found the noise unobtrusive and the gentle airflow very welcome. It appears to be well made with a well balanced blade and no vibration from the stand and full adjustment for the vertical tilt. Full power obviously sounds a bit louder but not by much and in fact I have only used it on that setting briefly as I find the slowest adequate.It sure beats being blasted at by say a normal size desktop or pedestal stand fan and of course it costs next to nothing to run!!Would thoroughly recommend the purchase of this make and model.

Unlike previous ones I've owned which felt like 10 mice blowing air at a distance, from a distance, the CSL WILL deliver a strong gust of air. I did mention from a distance? This is the most powerful USB powered desk fan I have ever brought so far. Its has a two speed setting and trust me, 1 speed is enough for me for the time being. I ordered it because of the price. Great value for money for only 7 quid. Wow. And when you take it out of its box, the size of it will surprise you. Its a big fan and its USB powered....wow!!! I am blown away. ;-) Excellent purchase.The summer heat will be upon us and with every day usage, it'll be a real test for the CSL Fan, or any USB powered fan for that matter. I hope it lasts. I'm a real "fan" of this already. Ha!Will update if anything changes.

Ok, so this just arrived and I have only used it for one day at my office. We are not allowed to use the mains a/c due to power limitations, so I had been using those little one speed, metal cage USB fans, which are more of a gimmick than effective air movers. This is much larger and really 'blows'. Very effective ventilation from only a USB power supply. I am extremely impressed. The only thing I cannot comment on is how long it will last. If I can use it daily, over the summer, and it holds up, then it is a brilliant product. It looks like you have to undo two screws, on the back, to take it apart to clean the blades, which should not be too much trouble. Dirt on the blades of any fan, severely affects it's performance (just like ice on an aircraft wing). It disrupts the airflow. For now, I thoroughly recommend this USB fan and the price is amazingly good!

Good fans, not as quiet as expected, but a really good airflow and selectable two speed settings. Will run quite happily from a 1A USB adapter.

I ordered this USB after reading reviews on Amazon stating it was the best USB fan ever. The an arrived next day (Amazon Prime rocks) and I unpacked it and plugged into my laptops USB and turned on the power with excitement. WOW this fan is powerful. I have now been using it several days and it generates a great amount of cool air (better than some mains plug fans). I cannot recommend this enough. With two speeds of fan and very very quiet you cannot get a better USB fan for this price. It is slightly bigger than most USB fans (6 inches instead of 4) but that's a bonus I think.If you are looking or a great fan and happy with it being USB then I would advise to get this one! A great product!

EDIT: Changing this review score to reflect the higher price. I bought this at £10.99, however it seems to have bumped up to £15.99 over summer. For that price you could buy a full size, mains powered desk fan!A really nice desk fan. The plastic casing around the sides seems to really help with decent directed airflow, even at it's "slow" setting.It's a bit bigger than I expected compared to other USB fans I've used - though that's not a bad thing, since a bigger fan means even more airflow! - But it's worth considering if you don't have much desk space. See the attached pic for an idea of its size compared to my wristwatch.The only downside? The plastic base is a little bit flimsy for my liking, and it's certainly not silent by any measure, but it's quiet enough.

The media could not be loaded.  Besitze 2 Modelle dieses Lüfters.Diese laufen seit mittlerweile 5 Jahren ohne irgendwelche Probleme.Nutze ihn meist bei kleiner Stufe mit einer kleinen powerbank im Schlafzimmer.So kann ich ihn nach belieben auf einen Schrank, Tisch oder anderes stellen.Wenn es warm ist stelle ich den Lüfter ca 2 Meter von mir weg.Dieser bringt so einen leichten kühlen Luftstrom und ist kaum zu hören.Der Verbrauch ist so niedrig das er selbst mit einer kleinen powerbank gut 2 Nächte durchhält. Habe ihn auch schon beim Campen im Zelt oder im Auto bei einer Übernachtung dabei gehabt. Durch die 2 Stufen ist er sehr gut nach Bedarf regelbar.Top.

ich habe diesen Lüfter im vergangenen Sommer (2018) auf Arbeit links und rechts auf meinem Schreibtisch aufgestellt und konnte somit bewuem weiterarbeiten, während um mich herum die Kollegen sprichwörtlich "Blut und Wasser" schwitzten. Durch die zwei Stufen und den verstellbaren Neigungswinkel konnte ich bequem regeln, wie weit er mich runterkühlen soll. Auf der höheren Stufe und direkt ins Gesicht blasend fingen meine Augen sofort an zu tränen und es stellte sich das Gefühl "Nee, geht gar nicht!" ein. Also habe ich ihn durch den verstellbaren Winkel auf die Tischplatte pusten lassen, was sofort das Gefühl "Jo, PERFEKT!" auslöste.Von mir aus kann die nächste Hitzewelle kommen: ICH bin gerüstet.Daher gibt es von mir die volle Punktzahl und eine absolute Kaufempfehlung.

ich habe jetzt den 3. USB Ventilator dieses Modells gekauft, bin sehr zufrieden, Ist am Schreibtisch privat und bei der Arbeit am PC angeschlossen und gibt bei der Hitze etwas kühlenden Wind. Die Lautstärke empfinde ich als angenehm, stört nicht.
