Rubberized coating, nice feature.

I got an old Central Machinery drill press from my father that was missing the chuck it came with. I tried to get one from Harbor Freight, but they wanted $5 for it. One of these fit my drill press chuck just fine. The coating is some kind of ruberized plastic, that appears to come off fairly easily though. The construction is solid, it works for what I need, but I'm not convinced it'll hold up for a long time. The teeth are okay, it's mostly just the rubberized grip that isn't attached very securely and started peeling after the first few uses.

Got this after looking at several of the cheaper sets, I wasn't sure what I needed for my drill press but fortunately one of these fit! Seems good, doesn't look to be overcoated in paint which seemed to be a common issue in reviews I read for cheap chuck bits. I'm happy with the purchase and if your drill press is the central machinery like the pic of mine, this set will work for you!

A scratch test suggests they are not all that hard, so will the teeth hold up with use?When I find out, I'll update this, maybe bump that last star.This kit fit two chucks I was missing keys for. One fit perfectly, the other (on my drill press) fit "sort of adequately". So we'll see - wear will be higher/faster on the poor-fitting one.I was left with four keys that fit nothing I own.

I really was excited to receive these, but when they arrived I was sorely disappointed. They didn’t fit. Sorry.
