I use this to spread fertilizer on my small yard. It uses the same DeWalt battery as I use on my drills and saws. I love it!

I have a larger yard with lots of places where trees were in the past, which tends to cause sink holes over time. So I am constantly tilling up areas and reseeding. I have a small tractor, with a tiller and seed bed roller, so the actual final grading and seeding/fertilizing are the only tasks that are more onerous and not in the air conditioning of the tractor. Final touch up grading will continue to be manual until my tractor skills improve.Since I had Dewalt batteries, I chose this spreader over several others. It does a great job of spreading the seed and fertilizer both for a distance and evenly. I would say it sends the grass seed 5 or 6 feet, with no wind, and the fertilizer more like 10 -12 feet due to its greater weight. It is much easier to broadcast both with this versus doing it by hand. I could use a push seeder/fertilizer, but I always seem to be doing oddly shaped areas, so this works best.The bin on this holds probably 4 or 5 lbs. of grass seed, and 8 to 10 lbs. of fertilizer. It is about the correct amount to not make your arm too sore, balanced with filling it up too often.I have no real complaints other than the base seems to hold water after rinsing it out after use. I tilted it on its side and it seemed to drain out.

Love it that I don't need to support an additional battery and charger.

This worked about 5 times. The gate quit working and now it's a paper weight. If the vendor would get back to me I'd be happy to amend this review. When it worked was pretty nice.

I use this thing to spread fertilizer or weed control all over my yard. It has a good spread, good distance and lasts a long time with a single I use a small drill motor battery. This thing will spread a 40 lb bag of anything on the single battery.If it stands up over 4-5 seasons, masterpiece!

This spreader works well. I like it, but the seller was not able to tell me if this product is covered by manufacturer warranty. The user manual that comes with the product does not mention anything about warranty. After few times contacting the seller through Amazon he said that he will support one year warranty, but I do not believe it because Amazon policy is 30 days and after that the seller can ignore you or change his seller profile to another name. That is the reason why I put 3 stars only.

Does the job. Just have to evaluate the settings according to the seed or fertilizer. Also has an angle stopper.

I just bought this fertilizer spreader and it’s very impressive. We can adjust the speed and opening to obtain the right dosage. The dewalt battery fits really and doesn’t show any consumption after 25 kg. The small motor is quite strong as you cannot stop it with your fingers. I used small pellets fertilizer and would say it’s design to handle 1/4” and smaller without issues.I previously owned a Scott’s wizz spreader and i thought it was, and now it’s confirmed is a real crap.

Good solid product that works very well.
