I bought this for my daughters 10th birthday and it has gone down incredibly well today. Lots of whizz bang for my HP mad girl.We also bought one for my youngest (7) to give her in July for her birthday too. However I think we will probably give her it early. The reason for this is that most of the REALLY fun stuff comes into play when you have 2 or more of the wands. Of the 5 modes, 4 of them are 2 player, with only spell training mode being for 1 player. There's still huge fun to be had but 2 together takes it to another level (as tested by Mum and Dad after a glass of vino).The training and spell practise modes are fun and great to test the Harry Potter fanatic. Best of the best is the Wizard Tag mode and is SO much fun. Think laser tag with wands. You get 5 lives and can fire at each other. Lots of fun but you can respawn once you've lost all of your live which is great.The instructions are a little full on but once picked up it's pretty straightforward. Importantly the wand needs to calibrate when you turn it on, and it'll make a noise to tell you it's finished.Build and finish is good. Plasticy but well finished and comfortable in the hand. Sound from the wand is clear and loud without being excessive. The wand weighs 106g.All in all, a good choice but 2 really make this toy come alive!

Decent quality, numerous functions, my view is a little overpriced. Overall OK but be aware 1 st delivered had leaking batteries, sticky substance had leaked out which is potentially hazardous. Returned with caution sticker . Replacement was the same but not as bad. Had to clean it and replace batteries with new

Daughter is really into Harry potter and loves Hermione. Thought this was would be brilliant but not so sure. I think £15 is expensive for what it is, and if it did retail from £30-£45 then that's a rip off.Need to have a read of the instructions as to which setting you want to set the wand on, 5 different settings. Does get very frustrating when trying to perform a basic spell and you get the noise to say you done it wrong....Just waving the wand in a 'v' shape can be a hard task lol! When you get to grips with it, the noises, lights and just shouting out the spell, I can see why my daughter enjoys it and that's the main thing. As a parent, it's just buying more plastic flimsy toys lol!

The package looked like it had already been opened. The try me batteries were dude. Luckily it worked with new batteries. It was bought as a gift. Unfortunately I had to unpack it to change batteries

Got one for each of my nephews and they love them. Took a little time to learn how they work but they are transfixed and won’t put them down.

Brought this for my grandaughter as part of her outfit as she is a Harry Potter fan. It is great fun for children even though when 'casting spells' we had to keep reminding her to remember people eyes... It is tricky to understand how to get it going and she needed grandads help. I think it expensive for what it is but seeing her face when she opened it made up for it! Would I buy it again?? Yes I would just to see her happy face.
