Listen Without Prejudice / MTV Unplugged (3CD+1DVD Set)

I had preordred this 2 year ago before GM died and it was put on hold hence I got it for 40 dollars because of the awesome amazon policy of getting the lowest price offered if you have it pre ordered - but enough kissing the amazon ass - the deluxe package is amazingly put together, sleek and beautiful. Originally the new version of Fantasy with Nile Rodgers was not to be included in the deluxe set because it had already been pressed before that song was done, but rest assured - it is on there. (REVISION: the Nile Rogers version is NOT on the deluxe set, but IS on the tracklist on the back of the box! So for any GM fan this is worth it for the MTV unplugged and the Bsides - I bought every cd single that came out and its great to have them all in one place. REVISION 2! So this box set come with a code for a free download digitally of all the discs and the Nile Rogers version IS on the download so just not on the physical disk.

Having listened to the three music CDs and having viewed the content of the DVD, my impression is I have had the good fortune to be on the receiving end of a package lovingly prepared by the artist. I am all the more sad that George did not live to see the end result or its warm welcome. The sound quality of the "Unplugged" CD seems particularly pristine, as if the man is singing in the same room with you. As someone who was able to hear many of the remixes and more rare tracks through my long-running work at a local radio station, I appreciate having a whole CD's worth of those "extra" songs. Having seen some griping about having to download "Fantasy" featuring Nile Rogers, I understand the track being a late add and the downloading process was relatively painless. As far as complaints that the silver on white type in the deluxe edition book is difficult to read, I found the type size suitably large to easily read--unlike that tiny silver on black type in the "Older" CD booklet. I highly recommend this package to all George Michael fans, as well as collectors of finely-crafted music who enjoy learning the backstory of how it came to be.

Over the years, this really wasn’t my go-to album for George Michael but since he left us, I have listened to it more intently and more often and forgotten how incredible it is. This mans ability to write songs that just resonate with you and feed your heart and your soul is truly like no other. The world is a little bit colder since he left us and what hurts the most is no longer anticipating the new music from this genius. If you haven’t heard the remastered version, do yourself a favor and listen. The mtv-unplugged is incredible and something his fans have been asking for for decades and he did not disappoint. I will miss this man until the day I die.

I like the book, but the DVD looks horrible on an HD screen. They should have remastered the video content for Blu-Ray media. They used photoshoots from the 'Older' album era, which only came five years after 'Listen Without Prejudice.' Any serious fan would have done a better job. I missed unreleased album songs of that time, a video recording of the tour that occurred around that album era, for instance, the Rock in Rio concert, which was when George met Anselmo. They could have included the music videos of the era, too.

What can I say... LWP Vol #1An album most consider underrated yet it shows you the in dept genius that was the man, George Michael. Purchased also the 180 Gram Vinyl and I must say the box set is greatly put together, and of course was put together by the man himself. Something to really treasure

An awesome set , well worth the price , the wait , after all this is George Michael , Yog whom left us too soon . I will miss him , the lyrics and the fantastic way he arranged his music , the tempo , the beat , the everything that made him unique , always dance worthy . If you are a GM fan , don't hesitate , purchase this 3 music disc set with 1 dvd disc ~ Thanks ~ /=^}

Classic George! I'm in awe of his artistry. The BBC Unplugged audio is stellar! The whole set is a must for any George Michael fan. Gone way to soon! His music will live on.....

If you love George and all he's done, you'll love this. And I think he would love the way this has been put together. A really lovely and great way to own some memorabilia. It is presented beautifully not just the norm of a cd box.. photo taken to show comparison of normal cd size to this lovely presentation.. The 1st & the last album I've purchased since his sad demise. Would have been nice however, if some of those less heard numbers had been added to an already familiar list such as...for the love of you etc. Nonetheless, it's not that bad having had the dvds included.

For me George's best album, though Older close second. It's a big box, well bigger than a standard CD so bear that in mind when deciding on storage.

Timeless collection from a musical genius!George departed this earth too soon. He had so much more music to write. I am forever grateful to have seen him in concerts and to have his music. He was an amazingly talented musical legend. RIP YOG.

Brilliant enjoyed it the first time around; this album just shows he was ahead of his time- never tire of listening to this. Much missed.
