Good tool that makes this job simplistic.
I know there are ways to cheat to get the Polaris clutches off, but why gamble when the puller is THIS inexpensive??? This makes pulling the clutch off of the Polaris engines so simplistic that the tool pays for itself the 1st time you use it in time saved alone, and this tool seems to be made well enough to last for years of usage. I've been a professional technician for over 30 years now and know the difference between a quality tool, a decent tool and junk....this would fall between the quality tool - decent tool designation, meaning it is well made, the material it is made out of seems to be of high quality & you should have nothing but excellent service out of this tool. Using this tool with hand tools I spent roughly 3 minutes from start to finish popping the old clutch off. If I would have used air tools, this would have taken 20 seconds. Regardless, either way you will need to use a bar inserted through the clutch & then rotate the clutch (turn the engine over, by hand) until that bar is wedged against the frame as the clutch is going to take a significant amount of force to break free from the crank. Without a bar preventing the clutch from rotating, you're not going to be able to pull this clutch, even with air tools! I used a 30" 1/2" breaker bar to get the clutch to initially break free, after which I was able to easily rotate the puller in the rest of the way to get the clutch off all of the way. This tool didn't even "flinch" despite my placing what I'd estimate to be 350-400 lb ft of torque to it to get the clutch to break free.

Polaris Clutch pulley removal tool...
This is precisely what you need to pull the clutch pulley off of a 1999 Polaris ATV Xplorer 400. This engine is a 2-stroke. Simply, if you are thinking of removing the engine from the frame (for whatever reason) then this is a necessary item. Once the bolt holding the clutch pulley is removed, this tool is inserted and screwed-in until it stops. Using a wrench, or socket, continue turning the tool until the clutch pops loose. That's all there is to it. Perfect tool for the job. If your Polaris uses the PVT system then this might work for you. Be sure to check if you ATV model is listed as being compatible.

I cannot speak to the product because it does not fit my polaris. ask first!!
It does not fit my Polaris Snowmobile but I think I know why. I have a odd machine in that mine has Weber 750 4 stroke engine. But it has a P85 clutch that is used on a tone of Polaris machines. These may be for 4 wheelers>>>>>... ? I don't know. again ask first prevent the aggravation and lost time ( 12 days) and counting that I'm still experiencing. The communication is not easy with the seller perhaps because of a language barrier. I understand this has nothing to do with the product as a whole. The product looks great and for the proper application should be more than adequate. threads were perfect and threads easy but the end is the wrong dimention and bottoms out in my clutch. Because of this the clutch pulls on itself as there is a internal machining there.I hope this information helps someone else.

Well made, inexpensive. I had no trouble using ...
Well made, inexpensive. I had no trouble using this to remove the drive clutch on 2010 polaris trail boss. I cleaned the threads inside the clutch, put a dab of grease on the end of the tool and lubed the threads on the tool. Then I carefully threaded in the tool with my fingers until it bottomed out. I was unable to remove the clutch with a wrench on the tool so I used a trick that another buyer mentioned, using an impact wrench. After a couple of pulls of the trigger at about half torque, the clutch came right off.
