Handy tool when you need to trim something Iike a door or railing. I like gadgets like this that are the right tool for many jobs around the house.

If there is room for a router and power is available etc I will use a router. This tool is great for tight places on installed material. Before you use it, remove the blade and spend a few minutes with a flat sharpening stone to put a decent edge on it - makes a big difference. While the blade is out, clean up the threads and put a drop of oil on them for smoother adjustments. Then take some fine sandpaper or emery cloth, wrap it on the corner of something square, and sand the paint off of the surfaces that will contact your work (it's easier than sanding it off of your material - no plane surface that contacts your wood should be painted) If you do those three things before you use this tool I think you will like it a lot more, and it is well made, just not well finished.

First the meh. The sharp edge of the 'sole' can leave a line that has to be sanded out in softer wood. The blades were sharp enough to do a good job with the grain but chattered cross-grain leaving little ridges.Both of these issues took about 3 seconds to fix with a fine grain sanding block.The wooh! Is this saved tons of time over grabbing a router to round over a quick job. Also safer and easier to handle small parts.Very satisfied ultimately. 5 stars based on value given the cost.

The product is a good idea, but the execution is sub par. Two important pieces of information for anybody considering buying this:1. The screws holding it all together are the same length, but the holes they go into are not. So when it looks like you haven’t tightened them all the way, but you can’t turn them more, that because the designer was an idiot.2. The blades come to you duller than Ben Stein teaching a history class. If you don’t already have the necessary tools to sharpen cutters with complex profiles, you need to invest in those at the same time and sharpen the cutters before use. Otherwise, this is better suited to cutting the edges on sand castles than on wood.

Complete garbage, either the blades are not sharp on this unit or it’s legit a Monday production. Ruined my board, I should have tried on a waste cut piece prior.. back to amazon, having to get a router now to not waste the board and rescue it.

The idea behind this is sound, but the knives are not adjustable enough. They will only pull back so far into the base, which leaves you with a chamfer that is about 1/4 inch wide. I was envisioning able to adjust the knives from a zero depth of cut, but that is not the case.The quality of the base is good, it just is not useful for small chamfers.Edit: I had the blade in upside down. I have changed my rating on this item.

Received the first one and it was not put together very well. Ordered a replacement and it was better then the first. Tried it on some pine and was not happy with the results. Cause tear out and inconsistant cut on the edge.

This thing is well built and works great. That said, be careful to do multiple shallow passes and don't try to do the whole thing in one go. You'll save yourself a lot of headache if you do.Several blades, all cut well. No complaints.

Good blades and tool overall. The painted metal marks the wood as you run it along, it should’ve been left bare or used a different material. I applied some tape to protect the wood.

manque la pièce qui bloque les lames; inutilisable. manque de contrôle qualité et/ de sérieux. quel dommage. du coup je ne recommande pas cet article ni le vendeur. ce n'est pas très pro. pourtant y a pas grand chose à vérifier avant envoi, mais bon...
