The coloring is inconsistent on the pieces and looks splotchy. The pieces feel like they have a film on them and appear dirty in some spots.

I’m pretty sure the material of the rainbow isn’t wood. So the stacking slips and it doesn’t hold building well. More for a pretty decoration.. but not for stacking into self different shapes.

1. The set arrived in a box with no protection whatsoever. 2. It had missing pieces and the smallest piece was wood with splinters all over. 3. The colors are not even and has several imperfections, they sanded edges damaging the color. 4. Box said it is a choking hazard but it is not, but a kid will get hurt if this falls on him/her not to mention how loud it is.Not happy with this, you are paying a lot of 💰 to be having so many issues plus no where in the description does it says mix of plastic and wood. It doesn't seem safe for children especially when they put things on their mouth.

These are solid and should last well. They're a bit heavier than most wood blocks of the same size, so if you have children who like to throw things, that could be something to think about. I don't know about teething, and my children are too old for me to find out. It's a very nice feature that these are made out of melamine, which is used for both construction (in some contexts) and plates/bowls, so it's going to be strong and if it gets dirty, you can just pop it in the dishwasher to get it spotless again -- not something you can do with painted wood!Two caveats: first, the item description shows a picture of a small, maybe two-ish, child who appears to be emerging from a tunnel made out of these blocks, but these blocks really aren't that large (or that child is very small). For sense of scale, the largest of the blocks has an inner radius of about 6.5", which means that it's almost, but not quite, big enough to cover a box of tissues, as shown in one of the photos above. They're still more than large enough to play with, but they're not *that* large.The second is that the color is a bit uneven, as shown in the other photo. Those bands that look like marbling or wood grain aren't reflections -- they're a permanent part of the block. Maybe the pigment didn't get completely mixed, or something. I think it looks interesting and maybe even artistic, but if you expect them to be an exactly uniform color you could be disappointed.

This rainbow is very large, surprisingly heavy, virtually unbreakable, with vivid colors. I wish there were a second green color instead of three yellows, but that's just nit-picky. My kids like to make tunnels, sculptures, bridges, and towers. They haven't mastered building vertically with more than four pieces; they slide pretty easy about there, and when it comes crashing down it is very loud. But none-the-less they are drawn to it day after day. One of their most favorite uses is to use a small car or finger skateboard and use an arch like a half-pipe. Good price value.

This set is heavy! It’s definitely heavier than most wood toys and waaay better quality than plastic. It seems unbreakable. It’s super sturdy. Due to the type of material it is, it is slippery and heavy. It concerns me if a small child would hurt themselves by stepping on a piece while it’s “swinging” on the floor. I definitely am overlooking my little kiddos playing for this reason. Otherwise, I love this toy! It’s entertaining even for the adults! My husband couldn’t wait for his turn! LOLIt’s educational for colors and size. My six year old got somewhat frustrated by not being able to stack all of them up right away but eventually got it. This gave him a big feeling of self-accomplishment! My ten month old liked holding smaller pieces and two year old greatly enjoyed knocking them down.This is very giftable and I like the box it comes in for storage. Doesn’t take too much of space.This set is of 12 pieces which is a lot more than similar products have. I’m very happy with this and highly recommend it!
