Loved this purchase at first. I quickly realized the extended side of the cup needs to be repositioned when changing between vertical and horizontal shooting. Not a big enough deal to fuss over but I will change to a round cup the next time I order gear.

Yes, exactly what I needed, and delivered EXTRA FAST.However, a few comments. The unit was slightly difficult to insert. I suggest anyone buying this insert it by holding the unit as close to the threads as possible; this made insertion much, much easier.Also, the unit comes with a protective film on both sides of the glass surface. You'll have to remove this in order to make the eye cup useable This is NOT indicated in any of the instructions. I removed the film with a pair of tweezers from each side; it was pretty simple. Speaking of the instructions, you don't really need them, and that's good, because you'll need a loupe or a magnifying glass to read them.The bottom line is that, once installed, the eyecup fits firmly into position, and does exactly what it's intended for.

You won't find a better large eyeglasses cup, or just really good large shooting eyecup. I know cuz I've gone through 20, to find this one. A. It comes with the Nikon Accurare flanged extended screw in mount, with the metal tension c ring to boot! B. It's attached via a raised lip and fit eyecup, so it spins easy, but does not fall off. C. It folds fwd completely with no interference, Im finally pumped about my eye piece!! Its merely a bonus it's a 1/3, an OEM style part that's nearly 1/2" smaller, and it's soft. It holds shape for viewings, but it doesn't pull my glasses off when I move back. It's picture is receiving, it's BIG, I use it on a D4, and though I use a field monitor for filming I use a loupe on the D4, I can just flip this up, vs unscrewing even a DK-19, it's a 5, star 100%!

Easy install, better than factory version

Perfect fit. Comfortable. Very similar to a product I use on a D7200 but designed to fit the D500, D800 and similar frames.

The eyecup interferes with the movement of the rear screen on the Nikon D500. the lens in the cup is plastic and of poor quality.

Works great easy to install, but. I use it with my right eye and it kept moving around between shots while carrying it. I had to put some crazy on it to keep it oriented where I wanted it.

This fits Nikon D700. If you bang into it, it will come off. But snaps back into place. I remove it when I'm not using this camera. I haven't had any problem with it coming off while in use. Hope this helps!
