The lights are used as a nightlight - on throughout the night and off during the day. They are easy to hang and are bright when the batteries are first replaced. However, they quickly get dim and the batteries need to be replaced almost weekly. It would be more cost effective to have a cord to save on frequent battery costs.

I am changing my review to five stars because of excellent customer service. After I submitted a review noting problems with the product the seller contacted me and offered a more than fair resolution. Very happy with the service and would have loved product if remotes worked.I made the mistake of not testing the remote until I already had these on an outdoor tree. Neither remote received with product ever worked so have to go out into cold to turn them off and on. The lights are bright enough but this product is a pain without a working remote.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought these specifically to put into this crystal holder I have. I love anything that's sparkly so I thought what's better than the marriage between lights and crystal? The packaging was perfect, protecting everything well by securing the lights and battery packs within a small box placed in a bigger box. The battery packs are not heavy but considerably heavier than the featherweight string of lights so you'll need to always carry them together..... don't let the battery pack dangle. The wire is fairly delicate. There are two hoops of lights wound up like a garden hose and secured with a twist tie. Because they have been wound this way, it will take you a few minutes to straighten them out of that's how you would prefer to string your lights. Since I didn't buy them to string on something, I just loosened the coils a bit and placed them in my crystal candle holder. The little remote control is easy to operate....green button to turn on, red button to turn off. There are many choices of various settings to make them speed up, slow down, you will find one you love! The remotes come with batteries but you will need three double A batteries per battery pack. I put the lights in the crystal holder, turned them on and.....BLING, BLING, BLING! I am in sparkle heaven! I usually turn them on at night, they are even more beautiful then! I highly recommend these. Absolutely beautiful to dress up anything you want to add light to.....I think my second choice of where to string them would be a small tree or potted plant. Get these fairy lights, I think you'll love them as much as I do!

I have ordered four sets of these. Their remote capabilities are wonderful. You get two strings of lights and two remotes that do not require their own batteries. Any one remote will work them all. Helpful Hints: Put your batteries in first. Inside the case there is a tiny cylindrical button. Press it and keep pressing until you get the flash mode you like. Then turn it off. Very carefully unravel the wire. It's long so you can avoid tangling by wrapping the wire around the battery case once you've unraveled enough wire. Do not think you can remove the wire from your decoration, such as wreaths, without needing nerve pills. Once wound, the wire wants to stay wound. Simply remove the batteries and store your decoration with the lights attached.

So the remote control didn’t work, there wasn’t a timer function, and even the different settings weren’t great. Like I wanted a soft rotating twinkle and it was just a flash on and flash off. With the remote I even tried new batteries and it didn’t work.

I love that these lights are flexible and easy to wrap but they get tangled very easily. I also liked that there are multiple settings and options including a timer and remote but the batteries don’t last very long. They are also a bright white, I would have preferred a soft white light and they are nearly seizure inducing when they are on the flashing setting. I would take a picture but the batteries have died again. The nice part about the remote it that these can be placed up high or down low and you don’t have to climb or crawl to turn them on, but the batteries drain so quickly you end up climbing and crawling anyhow. So I would recommend these for short term uses. Not great for holiday decorations, unless you want to take them apart to replace the batteries every week.

We got 4 sets to light up a garden feature my better half wanted making. They work really well. The wire on the lights can be a bit fiddly but worth your patience. They have been outside for a couple of months now and they are still working as good as the day they arrived. The remote works faultless and it controls all four sets, so there are three spare remotes, we all know how easy it is to loose one. We prefer the constant setting not the flashing one (to old to rave now lol) the brightness controll is also a great featureCan't find a fault with these and they are worth the money.See the build @lazyman_outdoors on Instagram. Love these lights! They are perfect! Easy to assemble because they are on wire so you can bend them to fit anywhere. Good tip is to unwind them first, and straighten them all out, so that you don’t get then tangled as I did the first one! They look truly magical when they twinkle in the dark, and they are very bright! The numbers on the remote are for the different modes, not as I thought the hours of a timer, so can synchronise them by pressing same numbers at the same time on each! Highly recommended! Prompt and special service too!

I have a few sets of these lights and I find it very convenient that one remote will operate all of them. They give off a crisp white light and they seem to be very easy on batteries unlike some other types of light. I have these dotted all over the house but they look great in a couple of glass skulls I have. Really pleased.

Great set of lights. Amazing having a remote control. I bought them for my new gift shop to decorate. My only one negative and it is a small one, is that they are not as flexible to use, wire is quite thin and stuff but still love them. Amazing value for the price.

Nice lights but quite thin wire. Took me a while to untangle them. Look nice though and having the remote is great and it works really well.Lots of different settings so you can choose to have them flashing or not. Overall very nice.
