If they are still using the same system as when I purchased the LED panel display is operated on an internal rechargeable battery so it can be moved anywhere you need to weigh animals. It is very accurate and durable. If you want to use continuously the charger can be used directly plugged into the unit in a set location…so…both AC and DC (or ‘Battery’). The mat is improved and durable now but is a bit slippery for my 360b sheep when they get rambunctious so I recomment using a generous application of silicon sealer to stick the mat to the metal surface. You can peel it off and re-apply if you wish when it wears. I know they don’t recomment getting this wet but if you are careful you can power wash the surface by avoiding getting any water in the electronics. I’ve been using this for over a year weighing animals in our dry lot and weighing feed during the pregnancy cycle and have found it very adequate. Though the price has risen dramatically since a year ago…(Go Brandon!)

Q: How heavy is the 20 x 38 scale to transport, I don't see a weight anywhere?

Don’t have an exact answer. Guess would be 50/60#’s Difficult for one person to handle. With a set of casters it would be easy. But to pick up or load it would take 2 people because it’s so cumbersome. Hope this helps. We have it in our chute so I don’t move it often. Ray

never worked for me as for me it was a piece of junk would never buy again its now in the trash pile
