Great PID Controller!
Purchased this controller to convert my manual kiln to automatic. Works perfectly! Keeps to within 1 - 2 degrees at 1500F. A bit of a learning curve to program, but once you understand how it works it is a breeze to program!

Great Product
This PID is amazing. I use it for my knife kiln with no issues. When I first set it up I barely knew how to turn it on let alone fire up the elements and give the kiln a spin. I ended up spending an hour just reading the online manual. What you receive is just a product brochure. The actual manual will answer your questions. Just dedicate an hour to learning the setup and basic operation. After you do this the product will make more sense.I am a little shocked that with the age of touchscreen technology and their accessibility and affordability, how we don't have an intuitive touchscreen PID under 200 bucks. Some day

Needs live and neutral. Does not need mains grounding.
Excellent tool, worth every dollar. I was able to fine tune my ceramics kiln and run a 12-step program successfully.Instructions are excellent if you really read without skipping anything. Of course you need to find them online as a 12-page PDF. Gets a little warm when operating. Getting some getting used to the controls. Beware, the auto tune will change your t-value as well as PID. Has a built-in filtering for noisy thermocouple signal.

Read the directions, manuals and video
It can be quite changeling when you first program this controller. The buttons can be hard to find while reading the programing information. The PID worked to perfection I held 1382 deg. F. set point with only an occasional 1383 deg. F. The ramp temperature lagged the set temp while the overshoot stayed with in 3 deg. F. until stable. For an untuned PID controller this is very impressive.

Hard to get up to speed, but very cool device
The interface of this controller is difficult, but a pretty nifty device after you figure it out. I still don't understand the programming codes, Example they give is -121. Not sure there are other codes, because the instructions do not reference how other codes effect programming (Jumping, pause, etc.). Nice controller, but the instructions are not such that you could become a "Power user".

Avoid avoid avoid
The combination of a poorly organized manual and some really poor software design results in an interface that is the worst I have ever used. As a retired control engineer with 30 plus years of experience the concepts are very familiar to me . Sadly when holding down buttons for some time length and pressing them in just the right sequence to initiate a series of steps are required, you are heading for trouble. Modal based push buttons are an absolute no-no for users.

Perfect for a pottery kiln.
I built a small kiln for my wife do do some pottery, and this was the perfect temperature controller for that purpose. Download the instructions and take your time to read through step by step. It’s all in there.

Works great and very robust!
Works perfectly! Instructions are not hard to understand if you have any technical knowledge or ever programmed the time on a VHS player. It’s very robust too! I shorted a 240volt circuit to the thermocouple terminals while fitting it all in my enclosure. Burnt the thermocouple wires right off but worked like a charm when I hooked them back up. Pro tip: cut your wires only as long as necessary, you won’t need extra later trust me! Good luck with your project!
