Must have SRAM upgrade, Amazing Shifting!!
This SRAM Bluetooth shifter and derailleur is amazing. Total game changer in my opinion. I read a lot about what people had to say, there was a lot of people that didn’t seem to like it, which I found hard to believe. If you already have a compatible SRAM drive train, this was so easy to install, comes with everything I needed, including the chain gap tool. Watched a brief SRAM video and that was it. And imagine never needing cable adjustments again, no bike shop visits. Then on top of that, instantaneous shifting with a just a touch. Connects to your phone to give you the ability to make micro adjustments if needed, which I didn’t need to. I am Having my best mountain bike rides with this upgrade, and I have been riding a long time. So worth it! Buy an extra battery on Amazon for $15, to put in your pocket if you’re worried about the battery, but it lasts for 20 hours lol. Great upgrade and if you have SRAM already this is a way more cost effective way to go, versus the entire transmission. So glad I got this, it’s already having a positive impact on my riding.

Good bang for the buck!
At $600 I won't say it's the "best" bang for the buck. LOL. However, it was easy to setup, works well with 10-52 cassette and a 30T oval chainring. It gives you almost instantaneous shifts. I love the feature where you can program the lever on how you want to shift up or down. I set it so I push up when going "up" hill to go to an easier gear, and push down when going "down" hill to go to a harder gear, which is the opposite of the default setting.

Smooth shifting
I blew out my SX derailleur, and it was going to cost $400 or so to upgrade it to GX and upgrade the shifter, so I bit the bullet since this was only another $125 and my friends all rave about it. I wasn't sure it would make much of a difference, but I love how smoothly it shifts and how easy it is to maintain/adjust. My only fear is being stuck with a dead battery, but AFAICT so far the batteries seem to last many rides, and the crappy iOS app at least lets you monitor the state. One tip a friend gave me is to also carry a spare CR2032 battery for the shifter.

If you want a cool upgrade this is it
I put this on my Trek Top Fuel. I was told it won't fit, don't buy it. Well I figured the original SRAM replaced with SRAM let's give it a try. Was easy to install, maybe 25-30 minutes. The iPhone APP is cool, it even updates the shifter's software. The derailluer has a LED light that tells you when the battery needs to be charged. You can specify things in the APP like which button upshifts and which button downshifts. It shifts under power very well, way better than the stock Trek manual shifter. I didn't remove the shifter cable, when I sell the bike I would have to reinstall that cable and that looked like a big job. I recharge the battery maybe once a month, I ride 4-5x a week for an hour. Overall this is a COOL upgrade and you'll have fun with it.

This is the old GX from 2020, not the new 2023 version
Not the new model with the internal battery. Stock must be old, my battery is doornails dead and won’t take a charge.Original release was 2020, it’s now 2023. I bought this thinking it’s the Eagle GX model, not the AXS one. I didn’t realize SRAM had so many overlapping and conflicting names.Product seems fine but, since it has a bad battery, I can’t test it.=======Purchased a new battery and am getting the original warrantied. The system has been flawless. I really like it and probably won’t go back to cable actuation in the future.

Awesome upgrade
Big upgrade over the mechanical GX, shifting is much better especially under load and it's much easier to set up. The B screw setup is a little finicky but once it's dialed in shifting is on point.

Stuck in recovery mode
After installing this kit and taking my bike for one ride, I removed the batter to charge it, and after reinstalling, it refused to shift gears. Connected to my phone, it said "firmware update required", after a good 10 minutes spent updating the firmware, it restarted and after reconnecting it is now stuck in "recovery mode, firmware update required". I let it update the firmware probably half a dozen times now, keeping my phone right next to it, tried all the troubleshooting suggestions I found online: used a different phone, even tried iPad, removed the battery, waited an hour, and reconnected the battery, etc. etc.. It just blinks yellow when I press and hold the button on the derailleur, and keeps saying "recovery mode" when connected to the phone. Switching back to the reliable non-wireless derailleur.
