Nice but
Was a nice gift but no instructions and once my daughter loss the key she couldn’t use it anymore

There is a way to unlock it.
This is a good quality journal. It's very pretty and my daughter loves it.I just had to dig out the instructions again because she couldn't remember the code, but it is possible to unlock it again.With the clasp on top and the button on the bottom, shine a flashlight in between the dials. You will be able to see a notch at the top of each dial. Once these are all aligned in the center, push the button and it should open!

My daughter has enjoyed writing in here. The pen is cheap. The lock works over and over and over again.

Seemed like a good idea
The diary was going to be a great gift and she loved it. But very quickly she locked herself out of the diary with the initial set up. So be very careful when initially setting up the lock or you might have a diary you can't get back into.
