I needed some loppers that I could handle and that would cut through large canes on my rose bushes. Since I'm lacking in upper body strength, my friend recommended getting compound clippers to enhance the leverage. I picked these because of the excellent reviews and was not disappointed. They're large enough to reach to distant branches, and not too heavy for this old lady to use. They cut like butter through every branch I tried them on. I'm very happy with this product. Sturdy, nicely made, comfortable to use, and they work like a charm.

I've destroyed 2 pairs of loppers from big box store and wanted a commercial quality tool. I pruned a large overgrown hedgerow and low branches on different types of trees. Very happy with ease of use, clean cuts for tree health, and overall feel and ergonomic design. It's a bit heavy when working above your head, but it's made of real steel and it should hold up for years of use.

Solid, cuts great. Some might find them a little heavy but they punch above their weight.

The first day I was able to use it and performed exactly as I hoped. Seems to be built very well and heavy duty. I have purchased cheaper similar models and got exactly what I paid for, not much.

We have a large burn pile that is built up throughout the year from trimming trees, and there is only a four month burn season available to dispose of it. Everything that we burn has to be 4 foot lengths or less so a lot of time is usually wasted by using a chain saw or hand saw. This lopper can handle 1 inch diameter pieces like a knife cutting butter. A little more effort is required for the 2 inch diameter pieces, but it has cut my workload down to a fraction of what it used to be. I would highly recommend this tool for people of all ages, My wife and I are both in our sixties and we absolutely love it!

I bought this lopper to trim the height of our Ontario White Cedars. From the trunks, our cedars extend 2 feet onto our neighbor's property. This Tabor lopper was long enough that I could trim all the way to the neighbor's side without having to take a single step onto their property! I was also amazed at the power of the blade mechanism. I have never owned a lopper that could cut faster than a chainsaw, but this cut through all of the cedars including the ones with very thick trunks.
