As advertised, affordable, & fun!

It is great for beginners or anyone re-learning or anyone who loves to use this polymer clay. My daughter and I are beginners at this, and I didn't want to splurge too big and buy a whole set, so this was perfect for our little project venture. We're working on Christmas charms and ornaments and she made her first one as a snail and called it Mariah Carey. (it's the singing part on the commercial when she says "it's tiiiiiiiiiiiiimee!" she said her snail is that.) Anyway, love the colors, and the helpful tools that came with it. small but full of fun :)

Pretty good quality with lots of color variety 👍

It's very easy to sculpt with and all of the extra bits it comes with can come in handy! I used the pin backing for the Baby Bill I made and it works great 👍👍(One of the shades of green was a completely unusable, sticky, and staining mess) Other than that, the rest of the clay was pretty good quality :)

Cute but sticky

While I do like it, and it's my first time working with polymer clay I don't necessarily love it. It was hard to mold into shapes even when using mold cutters. In fact I find it rather difficult using it. It has ALOT of colors to choose from but the ones that I really needed they had very little of(black, grey n white) does not dry easy. No bad smells. Whatever shape you're going for falls apart easily ,so you have to keep at it just to get it right, especially with small parts.I'm trying to make the coffin book shelf and it's taken me an eternity to do so.(Made coffin book shelf earrings) it'll be easier to make larger size polymer figures. So far I made three coffins already.. I guess It's a good kit to have just for fun and I will keep trying to make more and perfect my clay skills!

Super fun but…

Very fun and cute product to play with but it did not fully cook in the oven when following the instructions. I tried to cook it longer and it didn’t work still.

Fun start for Beginners

From my wife's perspective:My experience: I'm new to polymer clay and this product was a start as I didn't want to buy and ruin expensive clay. I must say I started just like any other beginner making fun crafts with it but my husband was instantly impressed as I guess I have a certain flair for clay. I started small and ended up using an entire block of clay to make something unique.Quantity: This is definitely more than a good amount of clay for a start and its been six months and they're still in good condition. Believe it or not I still have about 10-12 blocks still unused after 40-50 creations.(note: good condition provided they're properly stored and closed from any exposure when not in use).Quality: Some colors are a bit oily so I use corn flour to reduce the stickiness or if they're dry I just mold them for a few secs-mins till they soften. So far I wouldn't say they're ready out of the pack but definitely workable after molding. I used Sculpey glaze to finish the product and it seems to work. I also used some pastels and glitter and it worked just fine. You can check out the images for an idea.Oven safe: They can definitely be baked in the oven at the temperature mentioned on the packaging. I use a foil box with a foil lid to avoid any toxins getting out inside the oven as we use it for food baking as well. It takes me about 15mins to bake and they're pretty solid once out.Issues: They are not ready out of the pack like other expensive clays although this is not a real problem for me. Just putting it out there for those who need this. I did have some breakage issues which I fixed using clay glue but I wouldn't recommend this if you're selling them. I used most of mine to gift them (fridge magnets as they have minimal usage). I had some color transfer issues as some of the darker colors seem to wear off on the lighter colors over time (say after a month or so).Overall I enjoyed my beginner experience with this product as it's definitely worth the money it comes for. I guess it's time to move on to better products out there that are made for selling. Hope you found this review useful!

Easy to work with

I bought this for my kids to make their worry stones. They loved being about to choose colors and they were able to make their creations with ease. The colors are still vibrant after setting using the oven.

Great little starter set

This is a great starter set. Came with lots of accessories, different colours. Would like resealable bags and bigger pieces of the colours. However all around great choice to start out.

Very SMALL bricks of clay

I got this for my daughter Hailey’s birthday and she was happy . But not at the size of clay they give . It was so small !Some good things are , nice variety of colours , includes some tools and does harden in oven .It would have been nice for them to add larger amounts of clay tho .

Pretty good starter kit

I got a good variety of colours. The packages are small, but there is more than enough for miniature projects. The tools are a little disappointing because they have injection mold lines, so they sadly can't do smooth work without gouging the clay a little bit. I had other tools on hand that helped me though. The case is neat too, keeps everything together. The clay itself is decent, it's pretty soft and easy to mold, though I found it a little sticky and/oily if I overworked it, so it's a little hard to walk that line at times. Some colours may stain your fingers so I recommend wiping your fingers with rubbing alcohol in between colours. I found this out the hard way after using green then white lol. Cleans off surfaces well enough too, again just recommend rubbing alcohol for easy clean up.I had a little trouble with baking but figured it out. Instructions say 120-130°F for 15-30 min. My oven doesn't go lower than 170, so I did that and my piece took about 45 min or so, and is still slightly pliable in spots. My next set I followed guidelines online, and baked them at 275°F for about 20 min and they are perfectly cured.Overall, definately a good starter kit to play around with. Good to make magnets or charms. They mix well, mold well and bake nicely.
