Great quality and functionality
Fits the bill perfectly for turning larger wood bowls. I can now safely approach the process of turning a bowl from any point in the process. Worth the difference in cost compared to the cheaper tool tests. I’ll stick with Robust if I need any other lathe tool accessories they offer.

The Robust tool rests are some of the most solid, well built tool rests I've ever used.This particular rest is the interior curved tool rest - it will not work for bowl exteriors. I do agree with some folks that the curve isn't ideal for all bowl shapes, but then, no rest is. Unless you want a dozen differently shaped tools rests lying around (I don't) that issue can be worked around pretty easily. A few frequent adjustments are all it takes to deal with most shapes I'm likely to turn and I'm good with that.I have a few Robust accessories and they're all excellent products. I highly recommend Robust to anyone.

The sweep is good for my deeper 13 1/2' x 7'
i have a JWL 1442 VS and had to cut 3/4' off length of post to fit , especially using the Sorby interchangeables. The sweep is good for my deeper 13 1/2' x 7' bowls

Great rest, high quality
A very versatile rest and although it’s not made for it, works well on the outside of the bowl as well as the inside. Using on a Powermatic 2014

Expensive, but worth it
All of these Robust tool rests are the best in the world. I don't think anyone else comes close. They are pretty much unbreakable, flawlessly manufactured, and impervious to the nicking tendencies of HSS gouges. If you watch a lot of turning videos on YouTube, you will see that no matter which lathe is used, they will most often have Oneway live centers and Robust tool rests. That says a lot.
