Bravely Second: End Layer Collector's Edition - Nintendo 3DS

This was a gift for my brother and while it came on time the box was damaged. Not too bad but it irked me to no end as it was something he wanted and I worked hard to help him get it for Christmas.Still the soundtrack mini has some great music and the art book looks great! Regardless its average rating for me do not bad but could have been better.Still be careful my brother was lucky to have gotten it in a decent condition but still glad the content inside was clean and unopened.

Bravely Default and it's sequel Bravely Second are games that any self-respecting classic JRPG fan should play. If you like the Final Fantasy 6 and earlier games, these are a must have. Fantastic art, and a storyline written by Naotaka Hayashi of .5pb fame (Stein's:Gate, etc.).If you love the art, get the collectors edition. Included is a hardback, glossy, full colour artbook. Around 250 pages! One of the largest books I have ever seen included in a package. No contest at the current price of only $70. It's a steal.

As seems to be the norm, mine also came through with some damage. The outer seal was also previously opened despite being listed as new, although everything was still inside and in the original wrap. It's not the end of the world, but it's still disappointing.That said, the product itself is great. The soundtrack is okay, but you're mainly getting this for the art book. It's quite large, and is a huge improvement over what was offered in the first game's CE. As for the game itself, there's not much to say. If you enjoyed Default, you'll enjoy Second as well.

I'm only two hours into the game and I'm loving as much as Bravely Default. It started off a bit slow for the first 10ish minutes but it picked up the pace afterwards. The characters are just as memorable and lovable as the first Bravely Default, maybe more so if you've played the first game. All in all, I highly recommend everyone to buy this game especially if you liked the first game.

The Bravely games are something else. Bravely Second reminded me of the best game in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy 9. The collectors edition is especially beautiful with some great perks. If you have the money to buy the collectors edition and you are a fan of the Bravely series then I would highly recommend buying it.

another exciting adventure

Once again, Square Enix knocked out a stellar game! I love the character growth and the story line! One of my favorite games! I think it's even better than the first one!

I played Bravely Default and eagerly waited for the sequel. Square Enix did not disappoint, I am currently on Chapter 5 and I love the plot so far. Not as emotionally intense as Bravely Default, but still a really good story.

If you were lucky enough to grab one of these before the scalpers, you're in luck!This is an amazing collector's piece. Don't let the pictures fool you, this is a BIG Box.Comes with a HUGE picture book depicting all art within the game, soundtrack and the game itself!The game itself is good so far (Haven't finished Chapter 1 myself) uses same engine as Bravely default with a couple of tweaks.The music however isn't as up to snuff. I prefer the music from Bravely Default, but your mileage may vary.Other than that, they bring a new mechanic to the battle system, which is continuing the battle if you one-hit-KO'd your enemies. adding multipliers to the total EXP / Job Points for each One-hit-KO.TL;DR: If you like old school JRPGs you're gonna have a blast with this one. Just, wear headphones to really enjoy the music!

I'm just going to write about the actual Collector's Edition of Bravely Second: End LayerThe packaging is a very nice overall with a lovely illustration in black and white of one of the main characters on the front with the silhouettes of the 4 party members on the back of the package as a holographic on black contrast. There's also a holographic logo on the front.The sampler CD comes in a standard jewel case and has a coloured illustration (when removed and opened has the song list and credits). The actual disc itself is plain white with some gold constellations on it. Plain but pretty.Probably the biggest aspect and the reason why the CE costs so much is the artbook. The first game's CE has a nice, smaller artbook, and was worth it for the extra 10+ dollars to spend over the standard game. But the one in the second game is a full size artbook, the likes of which you would go out of your way to buy and import.The colours look fairly intact and I didn't see any ink running in my copy. It's paperback, but the binding is fairly strong. There are English translations of art commentary and such, though you will still see some Japanese language on the actual illustrations. It is mostly concept art, though there's a small section on the CG models of some characters.There's been some rumblings of censorship in the game, and even in the artbook. That is true, but the censorship in the art book appears to be the removal of a few images completely. As far as I can see, none of the images left in the artbook was censored in anyway. Oddly enough, the original job class Tomahawk that was changed to Hawkeye outside Japan, that concept art is still in the artbook. It's nice to see, but that an odd decision...Honestly speaking, if you didn't know about the censorship, you wouldn't notice it in the artbook.The only reason why I didn't give this a 5 star was because the OST sampler could've been bigger for the price of the CE, and the first game came with AR cards, but the second one didn't have any, not even of the new characters.

I loved Bravely Default, so I knew that I had to purchase this game as well!Even though the collector's edition is pricey, I still purchased it as I bought the Bravely Default Collector's edition too.The music is the game is just as awesome as the first one. Although, I think this generic battle music is a bit too epic at times! :)Definitely purchase this game, even if it's just the standard version! =D

I didn't feel the same magic I felt when I played the first one and some parts were pretty boring but it is a squeal to the same game so if you were expecting something completely different you would be an idiot. The moral decisions are pretty cool.

Bravely Second: End Layer, the Collector's edition was a great package to get all the bonus items with it. The art book is amazing.
