30 plus patterns with good illustrations and bead stringing information (graphics). Patterns are pretty and easy enough for beginner of tubular bead crochet to follow. This is a booklet and in my opinion overpriced, but I’m glad I purchased. I expect to get good use of the variety of patterns. There is a gallery at end of book with photos of other designs (no patterns) and contact info on these designers; however, this is a reprint publication and contact information may not be current. Author has other books on this subject and may all contain great info/patterns but they are booklets (not books) and equally overpriced. If your budget can stand the scream (cost), you will probably like the “book”.

This little book is just packed with patterns that are easy to follow, with great diagrams, and a page of large bead crochet graph paper to copy. The color photos offer great suggestions for color combinations. I have started a project and found it very easy to map out my planned colors - it's coming out great. This is definitely not the place to start if you are new to bead crochet, but after a few introductory projects, this book would keep a devotee busy for a long time. It's true that you can get patterns from the Internet, but not with this kind of versatility. These are patterns that lend themselves to endless variation and combination.

Beadweaving is my passion, but I can't not explore crocheting.I haven't crocheted in years, but because of my love for beaded jewerly I have become obsess with wanting to try all kinds of beaded jewerly.This is a beautiful book. Every thing is explained. What crocheting hooks to purchase, to what crocheting threads to buy. The book is full of beautiful colors and patterns. It actually looks so easy to do. It's easy to read. I can't wait to get started. I actually purchased her other book which consist of lariats. So, so beautiful are the patterns. I can't wait to get started.  Patterns & Graphing for Bead Crochet Ropes

This book was highly recommended to me from several beading contacts. When the book arrived, I too was surpised by its small amount of pages. Its 22 pages, however, are a powerhouse of information for the experienced bead artist fascinated with bead crochet. I hope to be able to use this book to create each one, similar to the process of "Julie & Julia"....and to say Judith Bertoglio-Giffin's expertise in beading is comparable to Julia Child's cooking is not a stretch. Thanks to Judith's designs, it provides inspiration for new ways of mixing colors and design elements from the traditional bead crochet.

My husband and I laughed when the large, standard-sized Amazon box came and the only thing in it was this 20-page booklet. There are a LOT of designs in it, but like one of the other reviewers, for $22 I would have expected more of a gallery. I'm glad to have it, and even more glad that I was able to use a gft certificate for it. However, it's still a great second step beyond basic bead crochet. (Do not start with this book if you are new to bead crochet!)

I am absolutely delighted with this book. I have made crocheted items for 53 years and beads were included. It has been difficult to find new patterns for beaded ropes and even a rarer find to discover a tome which explained the principles involved in creating my own for this medium. With this book, I now do and am grateful. It is written in a manner that most people will understand.

Mostly very simple designs that anyone could come up with. Some good recommendations but really a very basic book. I totally disagree with the recommendation for Gutermann polyester sewing thread. It snags on everything. If you need to make a knot, you can't work it through the beads like you can with cotton thread. It also breaks much more easitly than cotton thread.

This “book” was not worth the cost. It’s more like a flimsy pamphlet with very little design options. Too many example pictures of other people’s work without instruction on how to recreate those looks. Also it’s meant for slip stitch not single bead crochet.

good onifo overpriced!

I was very disappointed tht the book is so thin. Not many pages for the price. Also most of the patterns were very similar with colour variations rather than different types of patterns such as flowers. Also the size of beads were all big and not the size 10 that I prefer.

very well written and easy to follow,Judith really helped me get a grip on the pattern threading and after that its a piece of cake.
