DISLIKES: Recharge time, to recharge after a good usage of the tool requires 5 hours to a full charge before you can get working again, that is with the default adapter{charger) that comes with it, which is 6V 400mA.This also depends on the amperage of your charger, I have found chargers with a 2Amp up to 5Amp charge things faster, and can cut your recharge cycle down quite a bit, 2 Amp usually about 2-1/2 to 3 1/2 hours, a 5 Amp charger can reduce this down to anywhere from 30 minutes, to not usually more than 2 hours{if that} for a full recharge. I have numerous adapters with a wide variety of voltages and ratings, always USE a charger/adapter with the correct voltage, in this case 6V, but the amperage is what makes the difference in how fast it will recharge.LIKES:Rechargeable, cuts through many different materials smoothly and easily. Self Sharpening blade, so longer use of the cutting blade before having to possibly replace the circular blade.I wouldn't actually call this tool electric scissors, it's more like a sub-miniature hand-held circular saw. I purchased this tool initially for cutting out old carpeting from my home, it cuts through the carpet like a hot knife would cut through a stick of butter.Not only that, but I have also used this tool to cut down my Amazon Delivery boxes for easy removal, some boxes that may have a very thick form, it will cut them, but it's a little harder to get the tool through those, but most standard boxes, it makes short work of them, cutting them down to small square sections in less time than it does to break them down by hand and cut them down with a standard pair of scissor.My wife cut down a box of the same size using scissors, and I was using the tool, I had completed the complete cut-down of my box, same exact size as here, in less than 5 minutes, while she was still struggling to get her box cut down to size for the trash bag, her box was still over 70% intact, I cut down various size boxes, a total of 15 boxes from medium to very large, in the time it took her to cut down the one box she was working on.I have used the tool to cut Coroplast, thin plexiglass, this plastic sheeting, and very thin wood molding for interior door frames, when the tool started slowing down and cutting became more difficult, I knew it was either time to recharge the tool, or sometimes just hold the tool, not cutting anything, hold in the safety button in and power button, to allow the tool to run with no cutting, this will resharpen the blade, and if the tool still has enough of a charge, continue cutting until it bogs down, then a simple recharge takes care of that.Just about anything you cut with a pair of sharp scissors, this tool would probably cut as well.Yes, I can recommend this tool, it's a great tool to have in your arsenal of home improvement and cleanup tools. It will definitely help you get the job down much faster than a manual cutting tool for many different materials, which makes it an indispensable, versatile, and worthy tool to have.

It’s quick, works well, and has a safety feature where you won’t cut a finger off. Its self-sharpening feature keeps the blade sharp. It even comes with an extra blade, a neat zippered case, and a wire to recharge it. The charge holds for a pretty long time. I’ve cut up many boxes already and it’s holding up nicely. So very helpful to make the job quick and easy.

If you're like me and have way too many Amazon boxes kicking around every week, this is the item for you. It works great, just hold it and press the button as you grip it, and you can easily cut through cardboard boxes with it. Scissors take too much effort and your hand starts to hurt. Utility knives cut but it's difficult to cut boxes into size to fit in the recycle bin, and the open blade is always something to be cautious of. This baby cuts super easy anywhere you want to, with very little effort on your part. If you recycle cardboard boxes, this is what you want. It also works on blister packages too so no more suffering as you try to open those as well.

I purchased the kit. Does what it claims. I charged it when it arrived. Cut up a large amount of thick cardboard. This cardboard was at the max. advertised thickness of the cutter. A little difficult getting it started but once it started it easily cut the heavy cardboard. Much easier, better and safer than a box cutter. Small enough to fit in a drawer. Handy for resistant packaging as well.Could use a battery capacity indicator.

This thing is awesome. Our dining room was packed with cardboard boxes from moving, new furniture and buying stuff from Amazon. We were overwhelmed and throwing away a box or 2 every week wasn’t putting a big enough dent into the collection. We bought this electric cutter and within a couple of days we cut up all of the cardboard! Happy to see my dining room again! It’s Easy to use. Gets a little warm. The blade is sharp, but has chipped from just cardboard. Still gets the job done. Came with an extra blade and a carrying case which is very nice!

Wife and I were tearing carpet out of the room. Some sections of the carpet and mat underneath had to be cut. I tried a few different tools, box knife, scissors, and manual carpet cutting tool. All were adequate but once I got to cutting the mat, it was a lot tougher. I figured that had to be some type of automated cutting tool, did a bit of research, came across this tool and decided to take a chance and buy it.The tool arrived the same day as ordered, I charged it overnight and it was ready to work the next day. The verdict, it worked effortlessly and flawlessly on both the carpet and the mat underneath, saving me sooo much time and intense labor. I think I'll pick up the carrying case for this as well.While the main initial use for me was for the carpet, it also works great on cardboard and lots of other surfaces. There's a lot of youtube videos for this product and they all seem to rave about it as well.

Like a lot of folks, I order many things online. Some of the boxes I get are recycled in my recycle bin and ends up in my flower beds are raised garden beds. But some just get cut up for the garbage truck to pick up. For those, I have been using a straight edge box cutter to get the boxes down to size so it would fit in the trash can. Just an accident waiting to happen. I always feared cutting a finger off. But this thing cuts through the boxes without a problem. Great addition to your tools if you want to cut boxes down to save space.
