Walthers Trainline HO Scale Model Flatcar with Logging Crane - Alaska Railroad 17104, Blue

Nothing is more frustrating than dealing with cars that uncouple while running the trains. Also, I don't like spending more money on changing out the couplers. I love the Walthers cars. They're a bit pricey but its money well spent. The cars do not feel have that cheap feel and the couplers keep them connected well. I can put 30 cars together and there are zero issues with decoupling. This is a cool car to add to your collection. Get the log car too. I love unique cars like this that add interesting visualization to the trains.

I really the looks and quality of the of the train car.I am 82 and it is still suitable for me.

When I bought this i read the reviews and thought it would arrive in peices, but it didn't, turns out those reviews said that because they let children play with them like its a toy, when its meant for modelers, when used correctly its actually a great piece of rolling stock, especially for its price, while I dont like that its all plastic I think its still reasonably priced and it works well within my logging set

My son picked this out for his birthday present, to go with his small train set. It arrived quickly but there are two small plastic tabs that connect the crane cab to the car chassis and they were both broken off so the crane and cab could not fasten to the car. I contacted Walthers by phone that same day and they shipped out a replacement part, arriving just a few days later... Excellent customer service. My son loves the crane car and has small logs/trees he uses to play with it. Overall, a good buy. Just be aware that it is somewhat fragile, as most model train cars are.

Horrible product. I got it the first time and it was broken. So I returned it. This time I got it, and it was broken again! And now it is past the return date so I can not return it. Do Not Buy. I think you should just get Bachmann.

A well made HO model made a great addition to my model RR.

The detail is amazing. The crane actually works, and the color is stunning. I just need to find a Canadian Pacific caboose (if one exists) to complete my set.
