I lost the zoom lens that came in my original box. Ordered this one and really upgraded the quality of the image versus the manual zoom on the former lens.

These things are great...
We use the DXR-8 monitor for our baby and the changeable lenses are a great option. I can use the zoom lens to watch him at night when he is sleeping and the wide angle to keep an eye on him if I am in another room.

Doesn't work in the dark.
Despite the fact that other reviews say this work in a dark room, we had the opposite experience. Our camera is about a year old. We had to put it far enough away to get a good shot and lost all picture but the edge of the crib. Anything online is saying to just use the normal lens.
