a must for the DBX Driverack PA2

This mic gave me the ability to EQ the Driverack PA2 for the Room. I also have it connected all the time to do Active Feedback Suppression. It works great.

Price vs Function, Big Winner

We don't use the DriveRack system (yet) in our church, but I did recently purchase an Ashley 31-band EQ and need to tune the room. I grabbed one of the RTA apps for iPad out there and ordered the Focusrite iTrack Solo in order to use this mic for measurement. Great setup to get the job done easily. It's important to use a USB interface and nor run the pink noise through a mic plugged into the audio jack on the iPad because Apple has filters in the audio circuitry that do make music sound great, but I didn't want that coloring the dbx mic's input signal. For 65 bucks, this dbx mic works as well as needed to bring the room under control and not spend buckets of cash (we have a piano, singers and sermons, this rig does more than necessary to make our room sound good). The mic will now have a new permanent job, sitting at FOH to capture omni sound of the congregation singing during hymns, which will get mixed into the streaming audio for online broadcast. For the price this mic is more than worth it. It did come with the mic clip and the overly huge padded case for 65 bucks, huge blessing. Recommended!

Great, cheap measurement mics

These are NOT flat Omni mics. For that you need to look at Earthworks, Audix, and DPA. But after I used SMAART to calibrate each one (comparing to a B&K Omni) I’ve essentially got a $2500 mic for less than $100. They work great, and I don’t have to worry about destroying them.

DBX Drivetrack RTA Condenser Microphone works well

I'm doing research on car audio noise due to subwoofer excitation. I am not 100% sure if this microphone is giving me adequate response for my study, but so far I am pretty impressed considering this is only $100. I'm able to easily quantify noise below 1kHz to at least 110 dB without any doubts. My only complaint so far is that I wish the technical information provided was more detailed but that's because I am doing research, which is more demanding than most applications.

The farther you place the mic , the better the sound.

It go perfectly with my rack 360. All the same brand is usually better any way.

A must have when using the DBX DRIVERACK PA2

The AutoEq on driverack when I used this RTA Mic, worked wonders. The cuboid shaped House of Worship was difficult to EQ in any other manner.
