Smith & Cult Nail Polish, Bite Your Kiss, 0.5 Fl Oz

I've had no prior experience with S&C so I bought our of impulse. I really like the bottle and the top is very heavy and astetically dented which caught me off guard but quickly realized the dents are purposely put there. As for application, this specific color is not easy to apply. It is slightly gummy but has a very nice wet shine after it dries. I put 3-4 coats on to get full coverage as the coverage is buildable but very hard to get even if it's not fully coated. I was dreading dry time because of how thick the coats were but I was so surprised to find that it dries quick! I did not apply a base coat but did apply a top coat. It took a total dry time of an hour with imprint exception. I've had it on for three days now and no chips. Still shiny. As for the color, it's a dark purple and looks black on. First photo is newly applied, second photo is after three days.

The color is fantastic. It went on smooth, and the finish is nice. Perhaps other users got a bad batch because this was super nice. Actually it felt better than the typical salon polish. I did use the base and top coat. That said, it does smell just like other polishes. Since this is supposed to be 8 free (I think), I thought it wouldn’t carry that same smell.Like other comments, the top is cute, but the cute gold smashed top isn’t really attached too well. So it will come off and leave the little cap still screwed on. I bought four bottles (two colors and the top and base), and on three of the four bottles, the gold cap part came off. For the price tag, I kinda feel like the company should work that out.

When I put the first layer on my fingers I have to admit I hated the color. It looked magenta which I HATE. I decided to try layering it more and after 3 coats I had changed my mind. It came out to look like a deep wine color like a Merlot. It looked so much better after layering it. The bottle is really unique and quarky. I thought that mine came damaged until I noticed that that is how it supposed to be based on the picture on Amazon.

I've been using gel polish exclusively for the last four years and I was not excited to go back to regular polish because in my experience it all sucks. So I searched for good, lasting polish, found this brand, bought a bottle and I love it. I now have three colors including this one and top coat. The colors, so far, are beautiful and look the same as in these photos. It dries super fast and completely and lasts at least 5 days for me without chipping. Just this morning I applied another layer of top coat because I wanted extra shine and literally two minutes later I was putting an Arby's beef and cheddar in my purse and my finger nail bumped my purse strap. I looked at it and there wasn't a mark so I tested my nails and they were all COMPLETELY dry. With other polish I would buy it would take roughly 12 hours to dry completely but this stuff seems to take about 1/2 an hour. I'll never buy $5 polish from Walmart again.

Color (Dark Like Me) is a 10/10 - very dark merlot, not so much purple. Coverage is a 9 - may require a third coat. Shine is a 10. Wear? That’s where this polish is a fail. In less than a day, I get slight wear on my tips. With higher end drugstore brands, I can go 4 days before seeing this amount of wear. It doesn’t matter how gorgeous it is if it doesn’t last more than a day! Save your money.

The color, Lover's Creep, is so gorgeous!!!! The nail polish goes on extremely smooth and opaque. However, I'm a little upset because the nail polish was dented when i recieved it so it doesn't close properly :/

Great polish. Went on well. Stayed for a decent amount of time and came off easy. Very impressed.
