OTC6295 Front End Service Set for Pitman Arms, Ball Joints, and Tie Rods

I've used one of the items in this set probably 10 times and is holding up well..the use I've gotten out of it has more than paid for the entire set.

As an auto technician for newer vehicles I needed to get a front end service kit to not damage aluminum components. I wanted to try out one without breaking the bank on the tool truck so I ordered this one from otc. Works great will probably keep it forever.

Good quality tools!

Overall good. Only negative that I have found is some excessive free-play with some of the threads on the screws.

I have only used a coupe of the tools in the set for pulling drag link ends, but they work well.

Quality Tool

I opted to pay more rather than deal with the cheap ones that break. Glad I did, these haven't let me down and made my suspension work so much easier. My lower control arm ball joint was really stuck in there and there's no way I could have removed it without the kit unless I were to destroy it in the process. It took so much force to break loose I thought I would break the tool. Nope! After a loud bang the work was done and no damage to ball joint, lower control arm or tool! Will go with this brand again if I need another tool!

Excelente herramienta que no te puede faltar al reparar suspensión, hace el trabajo más limpio y rápido, sólo el acabado deja que desear ya que no es muy fino para la marca que es honestamente parece herramienta china.

This by no means is the end all be all of adapters, but it has a good selection to get you started and are good quality. Depending what car you are working on you may find some of these tools to big to fit in the front or rear of the suspension, but for the most part, great kit.

Can't comment on long term durability. The castings are very rough. I'm a little surprised being from OTC.I have some of their other tools and was expecting better I guess. Case is very cheap. clasps dont lock after 1 use.Threads are not tight so screw portions wanders a bit (not really a big issue but indicative of the overall quality may not hold under extreme load?). Decent tools for the price. If you want top quality, the price will be higher accordingly. I'm not a professional mechanic so I hope this will stand up to occasional use.
