Toyota Shim Kit - 04945-02050

These fit my Toyota brake pads very well and keep the brakes from making any noise. I'm not hearing any noise so they must have worked, just make sure that you put the right amount of grease in the correct grease on them in the right place which is on the box. Use a dime size no more.

Using these brake pad shims are so much better than aftermarket pad shims. I replaced the ones that came with the brake pads with these and they fit perfectly on my Akebono pads, plus it comes with a wear indicator. I highly recommend these OEM parts since they are cheap and give you the peace of mind of Toyota OEM parts

I bought this shim kit for my 2008 Pontiac Vibe because my brakes were rattling after I installed some Wagner Thermoquiets.... that were NOT quiet and regardless of what Wagner said NEED these shims. It upset me that I had to do my brakes twice but I'm glad I could get these shims for $10 less than the toyota dealer. Excellent!

They work. Worth the twenty bucks.Bought these for my 2006 Pontiac Vibe. Used Akebono pads but they squealed quite a bit. Tried adding Permatex blue brake quiet, no better.Applied these shims using the Toyota guide (see link below). I took the included Akebono solid shims off and used them as the outer shim (the tech manual recommends 2 shims on each pad) and used these pads as inners.
