WEN LA432F 8-Inch Flat Lathe Chuck Jaws for Bowl Turning

I don't think I have ever written a review until now. No big deal. I'm not much of a talker and most of the time you get what you pay for. This item was money well spent. I made a nice bowl as soon could use it, but... the 8 holes used to attach the 4pcs to the chuck were too small for the screws in my chuck. 2 holes in each pc I had to make bigger and then counter sink. 16 total drillings. I had the tools and know how and they were ready to use in about 20 minutes. I didn't mind, chuck jaws worked perfectly and in grateful for the good deal. Most things I buy on Amazon are good deals. I ordered these thinking they'd be less than ideal. I was pleasantly surprised by the precision and sturdiness of these jaws. Works great on my mini lathe. You have to keep rpm low though.

It works well but.... I own Excelsior wood lathe and Nova G3 chuck and since this Wen jaws doesn't come with screws to attached to G3 chuck, the G3 screws are too big in diameter so the Wen jaws needed to be drilled out bigger with a 1/4 drill bit. Once the Wen jaws are drilled out, only about 1/16 inch of the Nova screw will be out to attached to the Nova chuck but it'll hold. Just a heads up if you own Nova chuck and want to have Wen jaws.

These jaws bolt up perfectly to the Harbor Freight Bauer chuck. The holes and the alignment groove are a perfect match. Not only that, the rubber pins use the same size hex key as the Bauer mounting screws, so you won’t need an extra tool laying nearby.The jaws are sturdy, nicely machined, and do open up to a full 8” between pins. This is a good buy for anyone looking to turn bowls or needing to grip anything else with a similar large shape.

The mounting holes were too small for the screws that came with my chuck. I saw other reviews saying the same thing, but figured I could work with it. I used a drill bit that was the same size as the screws to widen the holes. Then come to find out that screws weren't even long enough, so a trip to the hardware store was in order.If you order this, know it's a good product, but you'll require a drill bit and an extra set of screws just to make it usable with your chuck.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought their black chuck jaw a long while ago and love it. Bought this right when I heard about it, super excited. The screws on their chuck jaw don't fit this. I'll have to bore out the hole, but screw that (pun intended), how can they make a product that doesn't work with their own product it should be installed onto? Am I going to pay for the most recent chuck jaw they released?! No way, mine is only 7 months 9ld and it's $55. Come on Wen, I remember Wen companies made good products and supported them.

At this price point why try to make one. Easily modified to fit my nova-took less than 15 minutes to assemble. Holds my work sturdily and very accurate when removing and reinstalling workpiece. Very pleased so far

Been using this on my Midi Lathe to make bowls from wood tree limbs. Well made quality product.

This has proved valuable for turning objects that will not load into normal chucks.Be aware although I have used it in a Clubman chuck with success, it doesn't actually fit the grooves properly.

These jaws seem well made, and fit my chuck beautifully. The rubberised pins grip the workpiece well, and the jaws are well balanced.

Main plates and Bowl keepers all very good small problem was 2 of the heads broke off the fixing screws.
