Nikon AF-S FX NIKKOR 24mm f/1.8G ED Fixed Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras

I rented the lens for a trip and fell in love with it. I instantly purchased one and have not regretted it at all. Not very heavy, good size and is very sharp. I have been doing photography for about 3 years now and I really wanted a wide prime lens. After using it in Florida on vacation, I don't think I could ever be without it. This is my go to landscape lens now. The sun stars that this lens produces are beautiful as well.I think that for the money, this is a fantastic purchase if you don't need "ultra wide". I also has the benefit of almost being a macro lens because of the close focus distance. Of course this isn't the best for portraits, but it does pretty well if you don't mind the typical wide distortion. Makes taking group photos a breeze as well!This is easily one of my favorite lenses in my bag. If you want a no nonsense wide lens, this is the one. I can't recommend it enough!

Bought this for shooting indoors (f/1.8) and I was shocked how fast the lens focus works (accurately almost all of the time) on both my Nikon Z50 (with adapter) and my Nikon D7500. For this price, I would expect good glass and no issues. Shooting inside the house, and inside a gym with LED lighting (5600k), at a basketball game, it worked great. (Like all fast primes I had to recover some details from noise due to higher ISO on my cropped (maybe 40-50% or more) pictures. Even after noise reduction and crop they were as sharp as I could have wished for--very happy with it at this point. . .

I must say, I was a little concerned about ordering a used Nikon lens online without seeing it or knowing the seller. However I must say, I am very pleased with the entire transaction! They shipped the lens the same day and it was packaged extremely well. Then a few days later UPS dropped it off and I took it for a test quick drive. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, the lens is in Like New condition and it works perfectly. I give them an easy 5 stars!!!!

I really am enjoying this lens. It has incredible glass and makes for a good addition to my prime lenses. It works well for portrait work when you want the background in the photo. I also like the sunset photos that I have taken with it. The best thing about this lens is it's versatility.

Disappointed that it arrived factory fresh with unacceptable forward focusing error. At 3' to target the auto focus was off by about 3", which at f1.8 depth of field is way out of focus.Lens is stellar using manual focus or direct contrast focusing in Live View, but the AF failure showed up consistently on two different camera bodies so error is definitely in the lens. Shipped to Nikon at my cost for warranty repair - which is irritating.It's sad that a $750 lens would pass Nikon's QC in such bad alignment. Wish they were still made in Japan instead of China, or even made at their Malaysia plant where quality seems to be under better control.

It is really good capturing closeup object with blurry background, but not good to capture the milkyway. I had to return it coz i thought i can use it for astrophotos.

Ordered two lenses from Amazon. Both arrived with substantial dust on the interior and exterior of the lens. I returned both. I have ordered many Nikon lenses over the years, and have returned all of them. They are either dusty and dirty as delivered, or are decentered. No Quality Control that I can see

This looked like new out of the box and it was a used item in good condition. Very happy that I took a chance on it because it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than brand new, and I was finally able to afford the lens that I’ve been looking at for years
