This worked much better than I expected. In the past I had always used string or small rope tied to a wrench or other object. This works much better and I wish I had purchased it years ago.

Wrap the weighted sac in duct tape to reinforce the fabric. After 2 throws, my bag was splitting at the seams when it came down. Also, the twine's stiff, which is useful for casting over a break and maintaining a slippery effect, inhibits the ability to tie a knot and attach the twine to the sac or to a line. That being said, I successfully used the weight and line to install a ham radio wire antenna into a tree, twice.

I have used this weight/rope combo for two years, setting about 100 lines. Both weight and rope are holding up perfectly. I especially like the fact that the rope has very low coefficient of friction. It slides through branches well and slips against itself easily. Much better than others I have used. I have be unable to break it when the weight gets hung up. I use it almost exclusively with a Notch bigshot which I recommend when setting anything over 20 feet.

The cord is high friction, it’s practically a shoelace (good luck getting over a tree that’s not smooth). The ball is a decent weight but the bean bag material is basically a paper bag and will rip if it hits the ground too hard.

The bag that the rope comes in is tiny, good for change or something, be sure and order a true bag for your throw line.

The rope was wound in a way made it hard to get unwound. When I finally got it untangled and the weight on , I was ablke to pop it up in a tree like magic. The line did not tangle or get stuck to the tree bark, and I was able to get my antenna (I am a Ham operator - NOT CB! - and was able to get things done. Great product for the money.

The small size of the bag and package at first made me wonder if I had made a mistake in buying this. However, after throwing the line with the weight over some tree branches, I realized just how easy it was to use. Then I pulled my heavy rope over the branch tying it to this line and was able to cut the tree branches with ease. Handy to have as part of one's tool collection if you need to trim trees.

Cumple con la funcio que se necesita, aun que las costueas de la pesa, son frajiles y tienden abrirse muy pronto por las caidas del arbol. Fuera de eso para el precio creo que esta muy bien.

This is a good product for getting your mail line up high on a tree. Easy to toss.

The weight bag is really flimsy and split after using it 3 times!
