So this is the mini expandable case but make sure you pay attention to the dimensions when you buy. This is perfect for me but I can see this being too big or small for other people. Size wise it’s still almost as big as notebook so this is not going to fit in a small purse but it small enough that it’s all not going to fit a full sheet of binder paper.

I love this little accordion file because it's slightly taller than the typical "check file". This rare size is actually very useful, especially if you get checks from clients that are bigger than the typical personal check. Business checks tend to have larger dimensions.

Took me awhile to find this size. Most of the "small" accordion files are for coupons, but if you have items that are 1/2 sheet, this is the one for you. Larger than coupon, easy in, easy out...paperclips and all. Edges are bound and closure is good so this should last a long time.

5x8 cards fit, beneath the tabs. I have another expanding file that the half page or cards stick out above the divider tabs, and the corners get abused a nit in that one.Amazon packed my first one in a box with heavy stuff in my S&S order -that one got smooshed. But the next one that arrived was very good. I'm happy with it.

Beware, the listed dimensions are WRONG. Actual outside dimensions are 7" tall x 10 1/4" wide x 1" when collapsed. My needs were for a small file to keep in my glove box for vehicle records. I called Lion products CS and they verified the Amazon listed dimensions prior to purchase. I will have to return. Problem: Small glove box is 9 1/2 wide so this won't fit and I can't find another polyplastic type. Globe Weis makes a paper/cardboard one, but they wear and tear easily and elastic gives out. Pockets extend to the bottom (very small gap that allows bottom edge divider movement) even small items seem to stay in place. Pockets securely attached at sides. It works best for 8 1/2" x 11" paper folded in half because the tabs still show and there is a little play. Also would be good for larger coupons, travel documents, etc. I think standard checks and regular receipts would be buried and hard to get to.Also, photo shows a front clear pocket....my items did not the front pocket.

Wish it expanded at bottom as well as top. May not hold much. Binder clasp too stretchy.

The organizer is sturdy and is exactly like pictured. The quality seems to be comparable to the ones they sell in Dollar Stores however, I have never seen this specific size in those stores.
