Update!Ok, so because I had a TON of this stuff, I HATE being wasteful, and my hair is now long enough to pull up if it looks like crap, I started using it again. The results are amazing! I no longer need to condition after I cowash, nor do I need to use a leave-in after. My hair is softer and the frizz has been reduced to almost nil. It does take forever to rinse out, probably due to the coconut oil,the porosity of my hair, or some mixture of the two, but it's worth the few extra minutes in the shower for the results. I do not need to use as hard of a gel to keep my waves and refreshing is done with a light mist of my CK slip spray. (Usually I need to refresh with more gel or a spray that has some kind of "hold" factor.) I only wash 2-3x per week, and my hair didn't look great the first few. I'm glad I kept using it to get the full benefits.Side note: I did also use it in lieu of shave oil. It's amazing! I like to add a touch of my body wash to it for a closer shave, but that's personal preference.Original:I have thick/dense, fine 2b-c waves.. probably high porosity. My waves went flat, which is unfortunate since there are so many good reviews for similar hair type. It took FOREVER to rinse out, and even then, it wasn't. It also wasn't I found that it was still in my hair (even after several minutes of non-stop rinsing) when I put in my styler. There must have been some weird hair black magic that occured because my hair started to foam like I was using actual shampoo. The styler is water based, so that was definitely interesting.It comes in a huge tub with a pump. Doesn't fit in the ledge of the shower, ended up having to put it on my shower stool. I have no idea what I'm going to do with the rest of it since it's pretty useless on my hair. Fortunately, it didn't cost much so, I'm not out a ton of money, but it's really a waste. I wish it came in a smaller size to try. Consistency seems thick at first, but thins out with mild emulsification, like there is almost too much oil. Hopefully I'll be able to use it in lieu of shave oil.Side note: it smells amazing! I love coconut, but if you don't, you'll hate it.

My hair loves this! I have type 2C, 3A hair. I do wash my hair more then I probably should. This is gentle enough that is doesn't damage my hair. It's very cleansing and conditions great. The first bottle was broken. Upon contacting Amazon they sent out another one immediately. I believe the problem is that Amazon is trying to decrease their shipping cost and not packing it properly. They bottle is well made but if you place it in a box without anything to cushion it, of course it will break.

I have fingertip-length straight Oriental hair (growing it long for cancer wig donation). I use the cowash daily after exercising. It keeps my scalp from feeling itchy and keeps the ends feeling smooth and healthy, unlike when I used regular shampoo. Detangling my hair is easier than when I used shampoo and conditioner. I appreciate that I can use this one product to get better results instead of going the shampoo/conditioner route. Another plus is that it smells great! My husband commented that my hair smells really good, which is something he never noticed when I used other hair products.

The product is great. It leaves my hair clean and soft, and I can run a comb easily through it. That said, I don't believe I will order it from Amazon again.I ordered this with another item, and they arrived in a box with no paper or dunnage. The bottle had rolled around and cracked at the top. The conditioner leaked all over. Amazon replaced both items, but this may not be a product I buy from Amazon again, as it seems Amazon has made changes in their packaging lately.

I can't find out how to get a refund without sending the product back. The top was broken when received unfortunately because as I was cleaning it up off my other product I really like the way it smells and feels and think it would be great for my hair. I would appreciate the seller sending me another one or refunding my money because I'm struggling with Amazon. Wish the manufacturer would change the bottle. I prefer no pump for items like this. That way I can store them upside down when they are half gone and squeeze product out quicker.

I had no idea what a cowash was until I heard about this As I Am product, I just knew that every time I shampooed my hair it dried out and I felt there must be a better way.And this is the better way. For once I actually followed the directions and used a wide tooth comb in the shower to work it through, then rinsed it out and I could feel my hair being clean but also soft and conditioned. What a difference!It did wonders for my self esteem too as I no longer had to wait a day or two for my hair to come back from the shampoo dehydration.Smells great too and arrived in perfect condition to my front door. You now have a lifelong customer and thank you so much for developing this at such a great price, As I Am!

Where to start. Not the product fault! The box was left on an uncovered step, while expecting (and getting) massive thunderstorms, ~ think mushy bread texture cardboard. Only to then open it and find large heavy jar of product free to move about the inside of the box, with NO PACKAGING AT ALL!! Lid of jar destroyed, leaking very moisture rich cream cleanser everywhere. Lost over 1/3 of bottle. Breathe ~ NP, Amazon will fix this, Return damaged, new one shipped. Arrived 2 days later, same person must have been doing the packing cuz guess what, same thing, slippery fragrant mess.Which I am suppose to now bring, unpackaged, as is, to the local UPS store for them to deal with the leaky nightmare, and I still don't have the cleanser. Not product fault, it smells great and I bet works amazing, but I can't say since the lid smashed both times and effervesced cream cleanser all over the box.
