It's very well made! The glazing on the outside is perfect.There is an bare spot on the bottom and a small bit inside you can take note of.These spots effect absolutely nothing. At least I've not noticed any problems.As with any lamp it's best to put it on a small dish to catch any leakage. It does not leak much and is perfectly normal. To not opt out of this product just because you're worried about leaks. It's fine!DO NOT USE STANDARD LAMP OIL LIKE KEROSENE ON CLAY LAMPS!That is unless you want it to turn into a little campfire.It's also very durable!While I was away one of my cats knocked it off a fairly high table. Abt 3-4 feet.On its way down it hit the wooden arm of a chair then smacked onto some thin carpet.I was absolutely terrified!Then to my relief there wasn't any damage to it.Or at the very least none I could notice or have noticed since.On another note, this us just my personal preference but I really like the odd imperfections that come from handmade products such as this.The slightly off handle, the bald spot on the inside, and the tiny pebble that juts out slightly on the right side that I've decided to name Henry.These little imperfections make feel feel closer to the work. It's a reminder it was made by another human being. Call it the mark of the maker if you will.It's not perfect and that's exactly what makes it perfect.My only complaint is the wick it comes with.I don't know why it's waxed. It makes it very difficult to wet and is so thin it falls in and goes out when it gets low.Which I guess one could say is a safety feature.What I did is I decided to make my own wicks out if 100% cotton thread.There are 2 ways I like to use and I'll describe them here.For 1 thread take the thread and fold it in half.Then start twisting it ALOT and if it start to twist into itself pull it apart. Do not undo your twists!Fold the twisted thread onto itself and let it twist into itself now and tie it on the end.Feel free to do another twist and fold before you tie it until you have your desired thickness.For two strings like the one in my picture take 2 threads and put them on top of each other and twist them. Unlike with 1 thread we don't fold before the first twisting.When you have it we'll twisted it let it twist into itself then you can choose to either tie it off or twist it again if you want it thicker.The ones you see in the image are thick!If you found my explanation unhelpful there are YouTube videos that you can find.I am not responsible for any wick related injuries!I feel like that needs to be said.

The is my first oil lamp and so beautiful and petite. I bought thicker cotton wicks which work amazing and I just love it and purchased it as a keepsake for the birth of my child. It brings such warmth to my room and I love sitting by it at night while reading scripture and drinking my tea.

These little lamps are the cutest amazing oil lamps. The longer you pull the wick out the brighter the flame, it can go as high as a regular candle and light up an area. I absolutely love mine. I bought one for my daughter too. It doesn’t take up any space at all. I bought the glazed and placed it it on a cutting board in my kitchen that I hold a few other things in . It puts a dim light while I’m having dinner, it’s adorable . I did purchase thicker, longer cotton wicks, they really added a nice touch to the size of the flame.

I ordered the brown glazed oil lamp, it does not leak, because it is glazed, however I still put it on an Acacia wood dish (same wood that Noah used to build the ark) just in case. The lamps works great, just as it should, I filled it with oil olive and it lights perfectly. The lamp is small but perfect. Very nice craftsmanship. Highly recommend. I love it!

It is a bit smaller than I anticipated but lovely just the same.

We are vacation as a family and doing a nightly devotional. I decided to share the Bible parable of the ten virgins and relate it to how we can be prepared. I gave each family one of these lamps They were a hit.

It looks just like the photo, but is about a quarter the size I expected. You could put it inside a coffee cup. I went back and read the dimensions, and it did say it was only 4" long, but the photo did not include anything else for scale. It was an extreme closeup. The workmanship was okay, but it wasn't sealed. As with anything made of terra cotta, liquid will soak through - including lamp oil. Had it been the size I envisioned (and that the photo would lead one to believe), I may have given it a higher rating. But as small as it is, and knowing I would have to set it on something to keep the oil from seeping out onto the furniture, don't feel it was worth the money. I'm returning it.

Very small but very original. Not a bright light about like what one candle would give off. I purchased this because I can use olive oil in it. This burns very clean, without any odor . I have added a fragrance to it before and it’s fine. Very unique.

The lamp is lovely but it did not arrive with olive oil and gift bag.
