i love it its just a temporary stand for mecuz am going to build me a mic booth soonthis weekend,thank u so much, easy to put together too.nice and heavy. rubber pads on bottomso it work take off or slid off.

Purchased this for club meetings. The base is good and heavy, so it is sturdy.

I have a Shure Mic. In order for it to be in the right position for my mouth, the stand keeps topping over. The weight of the mic is too heavy and there's not enough counterbalance. If I'm doing something I can fix, let me know! It's obnoxious!

This review is for the Moukey MMS-5 Desk Mic StandWhat I like about this mic stand far exceeds what i don't like.What I like:The Moukey MMS-5 Desk Mic Stand is small enough to fit closely and mic an amp. The moving parts function reliably well. Knobs and boom harness are plastic, but they are well formed and finished. The base, vertical post, and boom arm are metal.I also have one of these mic stands at my computer with an Audio-Technica at2020 USB mic for zooming. Most other portable boom mic stands have long boom arms that get in the way of other wiring/equipment considerations. I bought 2 of these moukeys, then I bought 2 more when I realized the advantage for using with guitar amplifiers. I'm planning to buy another.What I don't like:The base could be a little heavier to compensate for the full reach of the boom arm (i.e. if I fully extend the boom or even extend it half-way with the audio technica at2020 usb mic, it will tip over). The only other thing I don't like is the 3 foam pads on the bottom of the base. They are thicker than need be and contribute to potential wobble if mic weight/boom reach is not carefully balanced. The design would be better served with a full ring of padding.Overall:I'm pleased. The parts work reliably, the design is pleasant to look at, and the size is better for my needs.

The thing keeps tipping onto my face while im trying to sing into it. The mic is too heavy for the bass. Its annoying. I bought it for my desk work area for recording music.. the idea is right and the product is actually made well. the parts are sturdy. It's just a poor design. also I have trouble keeping the sm7b on there like it just keeps twisting off. could just be a me problem but I worry it will tip and break the mic constantly.

I Purchased this Desk top mic stand to replace a small stand I was using for to mic up my guitar amp. It's pretty nice for the price; its big enough to be really versatile, but small enough to pack easily and not take up much room. I can easily set a mic up to any of the 4 speakers in the amp's cabinet without having to extend the height of the stand. The knob to adjust the angle of of the boom arm feels a little bulky, but it works well. The small brass thread adapter also works really well to fit many different microphone clips. The metal base easily threads when it's time to pack up, but is really solid. The only down side is the stability of the stand when the boom arm is level with the floor and fully extended. It seemed to start leaning, but I also had the mic card just hanging off the side. However, I never need to have the arm perfectly horizontal so it's fine for me. Once the arm seems to be at any angle, the stand feels really sturdy again. If you are a musician on a budget (like myself), this is a really good option.

The media could not be loaded. I received the mic stand and was impressed with how small, yet heavy the box was. I opened it up and was glad to see some padding on the bottom disc which felt fairly heavy. This bit of padding should prevent your desk or other surfaces from getting scuffed up. It even came with a mic clip for the common design of mics similar to the Shure SM57/58. However, the one problem I had was that it wasn't able to fully support the weight of my sE2200a II C that I like to use for recording. I imagine it has to do with the fact that I have to use a shock mount for that mic which puts its 21.55 oz on one side, but it's still a bummer for me. I simply wish that it was a bit heavier to help with that. If you use any mic that doesn't require a shock mount, I think this is a great stand though.EDIT: I have changed my rating to 5 stars for two reasons. One, I understand my particular mic is pretty heavy and so I thought maybe it'd be a bit unfair to judge it for all mics. Second, If I put the stand on a hard surface instead of carpet, it still had some tilt, but it could support itself and didn't' fall over as easily as I had thought. That's why I took my rating from 4-5.

For the price, this is a great little desktop mic stand. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Would not hesitate to buy again or recommend.
