Just plug it in
When I first plugged it in and it went into "waiting" mode, I thought it was broken. But after a few minutes, the power was restored and it's been working fine since. I'll let you know more after the next lightning storm.

por que vuelve de verde a amarillo de repente ?
lo estoy usando normal y vuelve de ver a amarillo y es un fastidio ya que se apaga todo lo que está conectado a esto, y tengo que esperar 3 minutos nuevamente para que encienda, no se porque cambia de verde a amarillo si no me marca un sobre voltage, quien me puede decir por qué pasa ?

MY REPAIRMAN WAS IMPRESSED!
My just 3 heart old Maytag freezer went out after a storm. Apparently there's a circuit board or something in the newer appliances that can kill them with surges or flickers of electricity. When he checked it out, he told me that due to this - or a worse problem, a blown compressor - I should have the freezer and refrigerator plugged into a surge protector.I found this one and knew right away it was BETTER than a surge protector. The repairman explained that you should wait 5 minutes before plugging a refrigerator or freezer back in after it loses electricity. A surge protector doesn't do that! This has that delay built in.When he came back to install the circuit board, he was really impressed with this item and said he'd probably carry it on the truck.

Device could work but not tested!
No doubt the device could work as a voltage protector but had to return as it was not compatible with my setup even if to re-position the microwave plug, phone DC adapter and RCA wireless phone line receiver. Limited space to accommodate all gadgets with the receptacles.

Needed
My freezer was hit by lighting which cause the main control board to not longer work. It was suggested by the repair man that I get a surge protector for my freezer and fridge. So far so good
