I didn’t even know these existed but I’m so glad I found this item. I inherited a bunch of the cone threads and they don’t exactly fit on a regular sewing machine but this solved the problem. Nice heavy base that keeps the thread exactly where you want it. The cone thread unwinds perfectly on this stand. Would definitely recommend it.

Just started quilting and the thread I got is a polyester mix and snapped easily when it was on the machine. When I got this one and used it, no more snapping! It works great, it's sturdy and easy to put together

Heavy duty all metal, nice product. The large bar that has the screw pressed against it is a little wobbly but its not really an issue since the strand of thread is the only thing touching it. Im happy with my purchase!! Would buy it again

There is a small screw to hold the arm in place, but it doesn't work at all. I've made the mistake of trying to grab it by the arm after I put it together and used it, and the entire metal plate fell and crashed loudly on the floor.The arm swings around since the screw won't hold it in place. I personally haven't found it to be THAT much of a problem.But that aside, it does feed the thread, which is why I bought it.

Really sturdy for heavier projects - I was making a 45 x 45 baby blanket, creating faux chenille - stiched 100+ channels and this evened-out the feed of thread - also stood it out of my way so I could control the fabric and concentrate. Really helpful, recommend without reservation.

Bought this product because it was by Dritz. Found that it is exactly as represented. Sturdy with a good weighted bottom so it stays where placed and feeds the cone thread into my machine perfectly.

This product does exactly what it’s intended. Thread feeds through it very smoothly.

Watch out for the similar but not exactly the same thread holder - check the appearance of the package. The product under this listing is a superior heavy duty holder (exactly 1lbs, I even used the kitchen scale to confirm it). I have seen flimsy ones for sale and never bought them but this one exceeded all expectations. Great item, you will be happy that you ordered it...For those wondering whether there are 2 hooks or 1 on it - there is only one hook; the appearance of two comes from the attempt of the manufacturer to show that you can use it with a "stopper" included or without.
