Cat Scratching Post Carpet, Tall Big Sisal Rope Cat Scratch Pole for Cats and Kittens, Stable Carpeted Heavy Base (Beige/Yellow)

Easy to assemble in about 2 minutes. It is very stable as my active kitty cannot tip it over as she has done with other posts. The base is heavy which makes this post very sturdy. I’ll definitely buy another one when she wears this one out. I sprinkle a little catnip on the pole and she has a blast.

This was simple to put together. My cat was on it within one minute. She loves it and so do I.

Design is decent but base needs to weigh more. Product was missing the long thread screw to attach upper and lower half of the post. Had to go to hardware store to buy, as the only options online was to return and exchange. Not going to do that for a screw, pollution, time, wasteful, etc. yet it should have had that.

One of our adoptees is long and slender and likes stretching while scratching so this is perfect for her. We haven't seen the male using this, but he may think this is just for his mother. Her son is also long, but not as slender. Although both cats are active and agile, neither has attempted to jump up onto the top.

The (sisal?) rope wasn't wound tightly enough so as my cat used the post it pulled the rope down but not off (see picture). The rope stayed on at both ends but small gaps that were left at production allowed the rope to slide downwards as it was pulled.Had the rope been wrapped tighter/not had any gaps this would have been the perfect scratching post.

Wir haben für unsere beiden Katzen einen großen Kratzbaum zum abhängen und haben nun für die meisten Räume diese Kratzstange geholt um überall Kratzmöglichkeiten anbieten zu können. Die Qualität dieses Verschleißartikels ist völlig in Ordnung, unsere Katzen haben die Kratzstangen sehr gut angenommen. Wünschenswert wären Ersatzstangen zu günstigeren Preisen. Die Plattform überlebt nämlich die Stangen bei weitem und ist somit irgendwann funktionstüchtiger Abfall.

This scratching post is okay. I like that it is nice and tall as I have a big cat and he seems to enjoy being able to stretch out!However on the downside I’ve noticed quite a few exposed staples on it which makes me nervous, and it does seem to be shedding a lot more than any other scratching post I’ve had of the same material.Also some of the pre-made holes were slightly lopsided and small for the hardware provided. I had to do a little bit of forcing, but I managed to get it together!Overall I’d say not bad for the price, but probably wouldn’t buy again.

Our cat absolutely LOVES this scratching post! We bought it after we bought new furniture & didn’t want him ruining it like our old stuff. We sprayed it with catnip initially & a couple times we caught him going to scratch the couch/chair & immediately took him to the post (which we keep nearby). Maybe 3 times we did this & never had to since! He goes to the post now all the time & it’s been 7 months. It still works great - he gets his scratching needs fulfilled & our new furniture has stayed new! If you have a cat BUY THIS POST!

I have a huge, fat cat, and a small one; they both use this all the time. It’s like a ritual every time they come back inside (they’re allowed outside). We got a new leather sofa, so I strategically placed this nearby, as they’ve botched up another one of my sofa’s earlier. So far, no scratches :)
