Jell-O Lemon Instant Pudding & Pie Filling Mix (24 ct Pack, 3.2 oz Boxes)

This is excellent added to a vanilla cake mix to make it a 'lemon cake'. This tastes a lot like lemon meringue pie filling which is on the more tart 'true lemon' flavor spectrum. This makes a delicious no-bake lemon chiffon cheesecake filling with some added gelatin, whipping cream and cream cheese poured into a graham cracker crust and chilled.

I've been using this pudding mix for years in a lemon poppyseed muffin recipe that my family loves. I recommend this pudding

This was on deep discount sale price (24 boxes for 8.14) back in March. I was buying a wireless keyboard and mouse for about $21 and needed something to get up to free shipping and I always enjoyed jello the gelatin when I was a kid. I'm a sucker for a discount and this sells for well over a dollar a box in the grocery store so I thought I was getting the best of both worlds, economy and enjoyable dessert. Should have just paid the shipping. This is nasty stuff, tastes like it is really fresh - fresh from the laboratory. Wants to be lemony so it lurks in a yellowish box. Made one package and no one would eat it, including myself. Gave the rest to a friend's son who is a computer science student. I don't think students have developed the taste buds for flavors other than sugar so this went over well in the dorm. I won't buy it again but next time it's on sale for such a giveaway price you might want to use it for a shipping discount, if you live near a university.

this is not like the lemon pie filling you buy in the can. i actually thought it tasted a little on the sour side. will not be buying these again after we go through this case.
