As per previous reviews, the bottom plate isn’t chrome. The wing nut does not fit inside the recessed location on top of the filter. They should improve the wing nut design so that dirt can not get through the hole where the bolt comes through the top plate. Other than that, it is a good looking upgrade.

This is a very well-made and good-looking air filter. As someone noted in another review, the bottom plate is not chromed, but as it turned out, my existing air cleaner had a chromed bottom plate that I was able to substitute. I gave 4 stars for value, since the bottom plate should be chromed, but otherwise this is exactly what I was looking for to be able to make my hood scoop functional. Love the top hold down button, which is much better looking than a plain wing-nut. It looks great and appears to work well. Stars for mileage? This isn’t going to have a noticeable effect on mileage unless you are replacing a badly plugged old filter.

Shallow fit, needs a spacer to clear Edelbrock 4bbl carbs

I installed this filter along side the salad bowl mod and a cowl hood induction system and needless to say it added plenty of power and i also get 14 to the gallon on a 31 year old truck.

I’ve had the high dollar stuff like many I’m sure. My old bird is black n red so I thought I’d try this for size. Seems pretty well made for the price and should help the old 400 breath a little easier.

Really like the looks of it on my 76 Corvette. It's also Functional because it can pull more air from the sides and top. Has front and back indentations on bottom pan to fit nicely on a Holley double pumper.

Wanted this to to add to the look on cowl induction set up on my show car.. When it arrived I found multiple scratches in the chrome ring around the cover. I was heading to a show and needed to use it so I could not take the time to return. Disappointed that with the money spent someone could not check it for scratches before shipping. It had a plastic bag covering it so it had to be from manufacturing not shipment. Looks good from 10 feet away.
