2. 5 years on - does all that it is designed to do and does it well. We set the left side for bagels and English muffins and the right for toast. No issues... Life is goodOne minor item I have now noted:I really enjoy Beefsteak Rye Bread Toast. The slots are just a little too short to get the full piece in so you have to put it in diagonally which leaves about 3/4 of an inch above the toasting section. Not a big deal, I flip it over had do the other end for a few second and its fine. Other than that, it does do a great job of toasting for bread, bagels and English muffins.After a lengthy search and review I decided that this was going to be my best shot at a really good toaster.I had a KitchenAid w/ 2 long - wide slots for 15 years and it never let me down but finally it just stopped turning on. Looked at the new KitchenAid model and it was structurally very similar but the reviews were really bad as they were for every long / wide slot toaster I looked at. So my Cusibox Toaster showed up today. It was left on the steps, in the rain by UPS and the box was ruined but fortunately the toaster is wrapped in a plastic bag so it was fine. Plugged it in, dropped in 4 slices of white bread for the first test, set it on 2 and all 4 slices came up evenly toasted on both sides and the color even matched the color shown in the product description. English Muffins on 4... perfect slightly crunchy but not burned. Just one note, do not try and lift the handles to get the toast out early. There is a cancel button. Push it and the heat shuts off and the toast comes up. So, cutting my Artisan slices in half and all is well again. This is a really good buy and a really good toaster!

Very nice toaster.I like the fact that it is a 4 slice toaster.that allows my fiance and me to have our toast done at the same time.I really like the different levels that you can toast your bread.I use number 3 setting and it toast my bread just right.If you like your toast a little darker just use a higher setting and you are done.The cancel feature is also very handy.We use this toaster for beagles and muffins also and they both get toasted just right.The toaster looks very nice on the counter top.It is a good looking unit.Cleaning couldn't be easier.Over all I am very happy with my purchase and I would recomend this product to anybody.

I've used this poster many times. My wife has used it many times. We both love it. I will second what some of the other reviews have said in the fact that it does get very hot. I will also state that that's not a big issue because I'm not putting my hands all over the toaster after using it. I did have a little bit of a mess when I did a Pop-Tart in this toaster and it melted all over some of the burning elements. It takes some getting used to the adjustments, but that is no big issue as you'll quickly learn exactly what each setting does to your toast. I'm happy with this purchase and I'm sure I'm going to be using this toaster for a very long time. It does seem very well made, and unlike what some of the other reviews have said mine seems to toast pretty evenly. I did see some of the elements seem to heat up late or not at all however that does not change the fact that my toast is being toasted evenly and again I'm happy with this product.

This is an update from my first posting of a one (1) star rating. It is true that the first toaster I received fromKitchenMaid was defective right out of the box. So here comes the good news. KitchenMade contacted meand offered a free replacement. I just received the new toaster (Cusibox 4 slice toaster) and it works perfectly and very nice looking. But the most important factor in this review is to let others know that KitchenMaid is an honest company and looking out for their customers. Anyone can have a defective product but it takes a company like KitchenMaine to make it right. I suggest that if you want a nice looking toaster from a good company then KitchenMaid would be an excellent choice.

I shopped around for a while looking for a 4 slice toaster that would toast top and bottom of bagel at the same time. I couldn't find any except this one. Now that I have used it for a while, I am quite pleased. It will toast all the wide bread; Texas Toast, homemade bread, bagels, etc and have two different settings for degree of darkness. It is easy to use and it is much faster than the two slicer I had before. I wish it had come in brushed stainless but I settled for the shiny stainless and got a matching bread keeper that sits beside it. I am pleased.

Great customer service! The first toaster I received would not get hot enough to toast the bread. I sent a complaint to TOBOX & within a couple hours , I received a reply, stating that a new toaster would be sent. I received it yesterday and it works great! Just what I hoped it would when first orderd it. It has all the features you want in a great toaster at a good price. I am very satisfied with toaster and customer service was the best I've ever received.

I have a trusty Black and Decker little oven that I use for EVERYTHING, and that baby is like 10 years old, no joke. I love it, but my husband struggles to make toast in the little oven without burning it. I decided a slice toaster was the way to go and even pictured myself buying a cheap Hamilton Beach one. When I spotted this, I realized I had to give it a shot.Not only can my husband and I have different toast settings (there are two separate for the two pairs), but it toasts bread to the exact desired doneness (once you try it out a couple times) easy Peasy. My husband loves it and uses it every couple days. We do sliced bagels in here too with no issues.I love this and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
