Perfect for ALL Kids Young and Old
This book is incredibly cute and easily relatable for kids 3 to adult. It is longer than I expected, but very heart warming. I was concerned that this book despite being written by a pediatric psychologist, would make my little worrier worry about worrying. After reading it, I found it even helped bring ME some peace. My son smiled as we read it for the first time. I have since purchased a copy for a friend's son who is turning 5. He got a toy and instead of a traditional card, he received this book with a written message saying happy birthday on the inside cover. I think it's great for ALL kids, not just those who tend to worry! I have no negative feedback because this book as a whole is perfectly written and wonderfully conveyed through detailed and adorable illustrations!

Middle of the road emotion book
I'm torn in my feelings on this book. I am a children's mental health counselor and bought this for my own child. The story is cuter and more engaging than some emotion books, but it's so abstract that I doubt he'll be able to really grasp it. It does have some practical steps to help the kids address worry and has a great "catch phrase" with not feeding the worry bug. It's an ok book. I'd say 4-12 is a good age range based on developmental levels.

Memorable and sweet book with instant impact
I wasn't sure initially whether I would like this book because the text seemed like it might worry my daughter even more, defeating the purpose. I have to say that that was not the case. We read the book together once without much discussion and hours later at dinner my husband mentioned something that was weighing on him and my daughter told him not to feed the worry bug. Then she talked about how she was worried about starting camp tomorrow. I couldn't believe that she remembered that after one reading, and I definitely wouldn't have thought she could apply it to her life so quickly without a lot of guidance. These books just really resonate with kids, especially those that struggle with processing their "big feelings". I will definitely be purchasing more!

My almost 6 year old is a worrier. This book has made it so we can joke more about it . . . "don't feed the worry bug!" I totally recommend it especially if your child has any sort of anxiousness or worries.

We Don't Feed Worry Bugs Any More!
Love this book! This is one of the sweetest books I've ever read. I have used it with my counseling children who are worried and anxious so many times. I also have the stuffed monster that the children hold while I read. It has lead us to conversations about handling worry and anxiety and lead us to understanding that we will be okay and that we can handle it!

Love this series and this book is the perfect book ...
Love this series and this book is the perfect book to begin therapy with anxious kids. I'm a child psychologist and I love this book. It gives kids a way to think about anxiety in a less abstract way, which helps them understand their feelings. The stuffed toys you can also buy serve as a great visual.

It prompted many great conversations about the things about which they are concerned
We have a large number of anxious kids in the kindergarten classes at my school. They were all mesmerized by this story. It prompted many great conversations about the things about which they are concerned. They used the word "stressed." We now talk about the "worry bug" and remind ourselves not to feed it! Thanks for a great resource!

My daughter is a big worrier and although the pictures make it look like it is for a younger child
This book is so cute! My daughter is a big worrier and although the pictures make it look like it is for a younger child, and it is written in rhyme, it will be perfect for her. The story is cute and gives you those catch phrases to use during anxiety, "don't feed the worrybug." I love it!
