MB QuartFSB216 Formula Series 6.5" Component Speaker System

If you want decent sound, this is it. Don’t expect Bose sound (which honestly is trash to a true audiophile) but anything is better than blown. Picked up two pair for my Saab wagon running off the head unit. Sounds good, crystal clear for 60 watts each. With an amp, they are much louder. Don’t expect lows, and don’t use the baffle behind them (waste of money). I’m happy with them, but again these aren’t high end speakers. They are loud, they are clear, and they are MB quart. Huge difference on a 4 channel amp with about 100 watts each.

i put these in my daughters corolla. they look much more expensive than they are. no bling just nick black cones. build seems good. sound much better than the broken ones. not high end but off an aftermarket deck they sound darr good.note the tweeter is big its on purpose, but it may not fit behind all stock panels.

I bought 2 sets of these to replace my Polk components in my CRV. I’m trading it in in a few weeks and I was NOT leaving the Polks in that cost 5 times as much for one set. I’m actually surprised at the sound these put out. They can’t be beat for $50 per set. Definitely underrated.

I don’t like the sound, the sound lacks clarity, a beautiful thin voice sounds as if the microphone was covered with a thick rag. I put up with this for a long time, but in the end I decided to purchase a kit from a different brand. As an experiment, I decided to connect these MBs to the crossover from the new set and lo and behold, they sang much better, the tweeters began to reproduce the required frequencies, and deep low frequencies appeared. As a result, these speakers have a problem with a disgusting crossover that cuts frequencies. If you decide to buy this set, throw the crossover out of the set and buy another one and it will sing much better.

For the low cost for a component speaker set they sound decent. They sound much better than my stock 2017 F150 rear speakers that did not have a tweeter. Don't expect the world from them. Versus a high quality, expensive set they do not compare with sound reproduction quality and power handling. Am I happy, yes...for the low cost they are a great oem paper cone speaker replacement.
