Enemy A(n)t the Gates: Chrysalis 5

I really have no idea how this book manages to be so entertaining. I'm loving every page. It has an amazing progression, good character progression and a logic storyline. I'm really excited for the next one.

It was an enjoyable read filled with action and enjoyable characters. It was interesting reading the perspectives from both sides.

Series is still amazing. I'd like to see the ants have some peace for awhile but I can see how that would just let them explode in numbers.

Book 5 feels like everything he has built up to this point is tested. Not as much personal growth as the previous books but well worth the read!

Anthony's come a long way since that first book when he hatched alone and confused taking his first stumbling steps in the dungeon of Pangera. All the while wondering what the heck. This is a fine fantasy adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like the shadow glob. I anxiously await the sequel.

I like this series and soundbooth theater nailed the audiobook, as usual, but I found the almost complete failure to mention troop casualties to cheapen the war and make me feel disconnected. I assume its because this is meant for a younger audience but its pretty clear many of the protagonists are getting killed even though thats not explicitly mentioned too much either but it reads like the enemy never loses much of anyone ever and that makes it feel like everything the colony is doing is pointless and ineffective. Even if the book doesn't focus on violence of the war, it needs to mention something to show some enemies are being put out of the fight. Doesn't have to be death but it needed something so it didn't feel like the cost to the colony was paid in vain aside from slowing the approach.

I found this story to be very entertaining and well written! The characters and their interactions are believably portrayed. I find myself cheering on characters and getting invested in the outcome. Read this!

I can only say I have spent the past 2 weeks tearing through these books. They are quite fun and hilarious. Genuine laughter occured many times

The 5th tome of the Chrysalis saga. Anthony has been saved from the Cult but trouble has come again for him.This time he is not the only one to face the crisis, the colony has also been challenged.War is incoming.

Keeps a really good series going and brings us a marvellous story with characters with actual personalities to them, with depth to them as well. Very funny, had me in stitches many points. Love the expansion of the world beneath the surface and those that live there. Genuinely can't wait for the next one to see what Anthony gets up to and how the hive grow and expand it's ideals. Keep up the good work.

A fun series to read. The pacing feel off at times, but that’s offset by the depth of world building, actions, humour and everything in between.I’m hoping the rest of the series comes out soon. As I find myself yearning to see the colony progress and his future adventure in the Fifth strata.
