This is my second purchase of an OOSSSX camera system. I was doing a lot of work on the house in the process. The system might already been using for about seven years was damaged and so I needed to replace because of how happy I was with the previous system. I ordered the more recent version, this version has higher resolution and even better How much stronger range. With the previous system, I needed to have repeaters and I get dropouts. With this system, I no longer need those and the range is exceptional. I really like the night vision and the ease of use with the DVR. I’ve always enjoyed online access from anywhere and being able to look back quickly on events that may have occurred. I do recommend you use the IP pro application and that some of the other others that suggest maybe you need a subscription or ads. I also own a second system by Reolink at another location that system also has some interesting features, but has proven less reliable than the OOSSxx system. At the time I purchased this I also purchased a PTZ camera that should be working with the system. The pan and tilt work fine however, for some reason, the zoom seems unable to function with the overall system. For my purpose, it’s OK.Overall, give the system five stars after years and years of reliable service in this newer system definitely gives me better coverage and everything I’m looking for

I purchased the 00SSXX security camara system October 2022. I installed six of eight camaras at that time. My property has several outbuildings and about 2 acres of land to cover. I installed three of the camaras outside in the elements and three of the camaras inside the outbuildings. The picture quality of all the camaras is outstanding as is the night vision. I am able to identify people at a distance of 600 feet in daylight and at about 80 feet in the darkness. I live in Michigan where we have harsh, snowy, cold winters and the outdoor camaras worked flawlessly in subzero snowy, slushy conditions without any problems. The outbuildings are about 600 feet from the internet hub that is used. The package comes with two remote antennas that I used for the interior of the outbuildings to boost the signal. They both work extremely well with the external antenna magnetically placed on the outside of the buildings. Set up for the camaras at the base station was intuitive and relatively easy, almost plug and play except for setting preferences for the alerts to my phone / E mail. The only difficulty I had when I got started was getting the camara view on my phone to display in a timely manner. They sent out an update for the app, and that problem disappeared. I would highly recommend this system as an affordable, high quality easy to operate and set up alternative to a subscription system. I am planning on installing the final two camaras inside of the house but have not yet completed that task.Update July 2023 - We were on vacation and an alert came across the phone that intruders were looking in windows and checking doors for security. We called the sheriff's department to intercept, but the intruders had seen our camera set up and hastily left. I returned to the house to meet with the sheriff and was able to provide them with several still photos and six videos from this system that were able to identify the intruders. The sheriff's department posted the videos both on their internet website as well as provided them to the local news station. We are waiting to see what results are provided in the coming days. Needless to say, our neighbors all asked for our system information and will be making several purchases.

Have owned this system for a few months. Very affordable. Cameras are clear and work well, but they don't allow for zoom that I can tell. Don't always show the color expected when sun goes down. Yard can look snow covered. Pair this with a dedicated 30" monitor for best daily use. It does provide a solid security system to monitor your home and property. Signal from cameras mounted outside my metal shop building 100 feet away works good, but drops signal once or twice a week for a few minutes. I use this stand alone and its not connected to the internet. So I can't speak to that side of its use. Works great for me.

IVE HAD ENOUGH, TRYING TO FIND WHEN I WALK OUT A GATE 15 MINUTES AGO IS TAKING ME HALF AN HOUR. ANYTIME YOU CHANGE CAMERAS, BUY OUR STORAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE THIS THING AND THE DEVICE IS SLOW ON TOP OF IT ALL. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK! It's more of a buy our monthly cloud storage than a security camera system. Anytime you want to review footage it auto reverts to the cloud storage and asks for money/sign up image instead of going directly to the local storage. And if you are in local storage backed up at a time and want a different angle, then change cameras, it again asks you to get cloud storage and you reselect the local and refind the time you were at. UNBELIEVABLY INCONVENIENT. Then while looking through video, if you move the selector back even one second, it auto moves back around 16 seconds. If you pick any exact time, it always scrolls back about 16 seconds. This is very annoying. There seems to be no actual way to turn on or if it is on, differentiate when the cameras have detected motion. The entire review bar of all cameras is the same color meaning either no movement ever or non stop. Theres no way to have the cameras stay on HD playback, and it needs to be selected everytime. If you are speaking via a camera and attempt to change cameras, instead of auto hanging up and changing the camera, it tells you you must hang up first. As if the swipe over couldn't just do that. The storage is good and they were easy to install and get good signal strength. There are many short comings in the app, especially in the lack of worthwhile settings. The "advanced settings" in each camera is literally signal strength. Theres no option at all. There are so many of these systems now, finding one with a good interface is probably the real difference maker, and the changes this one has gone through with the app, make it eliminated from contention if I was buying today.
